Im going langkawi with few malay. Thinking to ask them help me carry some liquor

Is it legal ?

Agreed wth u all on the room size but the beach? i thought the beach is abit muddy there? Or has they rehab the sea water surrounding that area 

for the amount paid RM150
compare to Malibest RM145

Room Space: Langkasuka>Malibest
Room Cleanliness: Langkasuka>Malibest
Beach Condition: Malibest>Langkasuka by a slight margin (both also muddy and dirty)

but Langkasuka has free breakfast for 4pax

but it all boils down to individual
i prefer quiet place
some ppl like happening place like Cenang

Wanna check that..
I plan to go 3D2N at mid April for 2 person...
So far this price that wat I get from my fren.
RM 350 - stay at Langkasuka Beach resort with daily buffet breakfast for 2 and a standard car use for 48 hrs..

Is the price cheap? Need u guy to advise me...

what is the procedure to get the 'Rent a Bike'? I mean, should we give any cash deposit or any other deposit needs to be given to them? should we check for the valid bike documents, like insurance,tax papers etc from the agent ? . would appreciate if u could clear this one also.
so here is my plan for my Langkawi trip.. please advice me for any changes... thanks in advance.

1.Reaching Langkawi airport around 6PM on 04APRIL09 (SAT)...
2.Manage a 'Rent a Bike' from the airport itself (If I manage to get that from the airport! or else, from where I can get that ?).
3.drive to 'Hotel Grand Continental'. After check in , around 7-8, go to the Eagle Square and after that some shopping (planning to buy some leather bags/shoes,chocklates and if found better priced branded handy cam, that one also (can anybody suggest shops for these?, where i can get better deal?)) from around the streets.I think ,on the last day of my trip, Monday, I wont be having sufficient time to go for shopping and all, so planning to do that on the arrival day itself (Assume that got DutyFree Shops near to the Eagle square or Hotel Grand Continental). somebody has posted that got PasarMalam also near there? (u may b thinking that, going to Langkawi for Pasar Malam?, no I simply quote that one also ,thats all.
4. on the second day, Sunday, The following are the time and place for my visit (this is just my planning, any other opinion/thought is much appretiated.)
Leaving Hotel after breakfast around 8AM, straight to CABLE CAR & 7 waterfalls, (if time , Crocodile farm as well).  Afternoon would be Mahsuri Tomb,Snake Sanctuary.

8AM-2PM => Cable Car, 7 Waterfalls & Cocodile Farm.
After Lunch => 3PM - 7 PM => Mahsuri Tomb, Snake Sanctuary
(If time, Bird Park,Perdana Gallery,Durian Perangin Waterfall (but dont think that, I would have ample time to include these))

5. on Monday, Has to vacate the hotel around 12, Planning to go for a package tour (Island Hopping - 1/2 day tour), go for island hopping in the morning and on the way back to the airport will visit the AQUARIUM. (my return flight is at 5.30PM. so need to arrive airport around 4-4.30, right?

SO LANGKAWI TRIP SUMMERY :-

3 PM - 7 PM - MAHSURI TOMB,SNAKE SANCTUARY, (IF MUCH TIME THEN => BIRD PARK,PERDANA GALLERY)

DAY 3: MON, 06APRIL09

10AM - 1PM  - 1/2 DAY ISLAND HOPPING TOUR. (IS THAT GOOD TO TAKE THE PACKAGE FROM THE GRAND CONTINENTAL HOTEL OR WE DRIVE TO NEAR TO THE ISLAND AND TAKE THE TOUR FROM THERE, WHICH ONE CAN BE RECOMENDED?)
2PM - 4PM - AQUARIUM
4.30   - SUBMIT 'RENT A BIKE' & REPORT AT THE AIRPORT.

I checked in at 6PM and check out at 4 PM . But I shouldn't mind at all to pay additional for the late checkout if that is the hotel policy, but they should have intimated the customer before that occurs. thats the sign of good service. anyway, my trip was went so nice, so not thinkng about the hotel experience, but definitly I wont choose this hotel for the next time visit to Langkawi. thanks to all dear friends who really helped me to arrange my trip and to made it so memorable. thanks, especially to Putraskyline,driftmeister.

Hi.. would like to ask if stay at Langkasuka Resort, by renting a car , is it near to go those places eg Eagle Square and Kuah town? i mean how long it takes for the driving journey?.. thanks

Is it safe to park your car at the Kuala Kedah jetty there? We have to pay per day parking but are there people who will guard your car? Cause I heard there are a lot of thieves around there..  Anyone can help on this? Cause my friend is gonna drive to Kuala Kedah and we'll park our car there and take ferry over..He's driving Vios and I don't want any bad incident happen..

juz came back from langkawi.. rented a wira 1.5 manual special edition @ RM150 (4D3N)..

RM500 for 4D3N stay at langkasuka + 2 air asia tickets.. a must go for the mangrove tour and wildlife bird park..

please do not say Langkawi is small, it's terribly big.. mwhaha got frustrated driving to north, south, east and west.. (each destination is around 20+KMs excluding taking the wrong route...

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, you're right, should not be staying in the room for too long.  . I hope the place is not too run down/dirty like what some ppl said. Done island hopping before, would like to try something different this time. It would be either Mangrove tour or Pulau Payar, still undecided.

Is it true that if I stay more than 3 days I'm tax-free? Just wanna know since I'll be going there 6 days/5 night?

i'm planning for a holiday in langkawi, my main objective is beach.. crystal clear with lotsa corals. i want to swim, snorkeling..
mayb for 3d2n for 2 adult, any recommendation? n maybe after that go buy lotsa chocolate..hehe

n i'm not into historical building or landmark..
oh ya, cable car..nice??

Guys, I need help, it's my mistake not to book hotels/chalets earlier.. I'm going tomorrow, but looks like everywhere is full, I have called melati, nadia, best star, langkasuka, langgura, and malibest.. all is full.. any suggestions?
