try calling this guy, Ghoni 019-4621007, i hope his is still in business....
i've been there couple of times and the lasttime was last december. His rate is quite good. just mentioned "kawan recomen, katanya lu bagus, tak payah cari susah susah". i called him a day before i arrive but on that day he just pass me a MPV (RENALT SCENIC 2.0) for rm 80 a day.

You can try to stay at Pelangi Beach Resort or Langkasuka(IIRC)

Both are quite far from town, but the peaceful environment and the hotel situation is just perfect thumbup.gif (IIRC a 15-30 minutes using car sweat.gif ) distance to Kuah

hi guys! My bf and I are planning to go to Langkawi by AirAsia but we have some problem in booking the hotel. Could anyone recommend any hotel which is nice, not too expensive and on the beach itself?

P/S: I like to have the seaview...Thanks

By the way, there are lots of islands in Langkawi. Which island do you guys recommend us to stay? We wish to visit all those place of interest (We are going to rent a car there). So which hotel is more convenient for us to do tht?

Note: If possible, i prefer a hotel on the beach.

a) What is the cost for the ferry for the car?
b) I heard that the car will be sent a day after i arrived in Langkawi? Is it true?

During the offpeak season can get car (iswara) for 40-45. Prices of beer that i checked was 40 for Carlsberg, 45 tiger, 50 heineken. No point drink beer so much. IMHO buy those smiroff/absolut for 30 and get wasted.

I'm planning to go to Langkawi on 26 Nov to 2 Dec 2006 with my friends. We have 6-8 perople (not confirm yet).

1.Someone said that the car and accomodation rate will be higher on weekend, because there are more people in that place. Is it true?

2.We plannng to go there by bus. How much is the bus fare from Pudu to Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis?

3.When we reach Kuala Kedah / Kuala Perlis, how to go to the jetty to take ferri? Is the jetty very near the bus station? Is it we can straight away see the jetty when we are in the bus station?

4.We prefer to stay on the beach? which beach is better? Which hotel, motel or challet is better? Our budget is around RM 100 per room per day.

5.Book the hotel/motel/challet online now better or go there find accomodation better? Is many accomodations available there during the time (28 Nov to 2 Dec)? Is the time considered as peak season?

6.Rent the car at the Langkawi jetty can get cheapper rate, right? There is a lot of cars there, right?

Please advice me and thanks in advance.

i already bought the package from airasia
go for holiday during my college holiday

RM1099.96 for two person

4 days 3 night DEC 22 untill DEC 25 for Xmas wif my lovly gf haha

the price is including return flight ticket between LCCT n langkawi, 3 days breakfast and accomodation.

we stay in federal villa beach resort, which is a sister resort of holiday villa resort , they share the each other facilities, which mean u stay in holiday villa u can use federal villa facilities, if u stay in federal villa u can use holiday villa facilities. holiday villa is 5 star resort and federal villa is 3 star resort, but the room like 4 star one. not bad

all i posted here just for reference who plan to go langkawi ^^
