so anyone has reset ecu and get better fc ?
*
Resetting the ECU most of the time helps since it will let your ECU relearn your driving habits.
And also resetting will also improve the full tank mileage showing on your odo.
But do that note that the displayed mileage only for reference.
It's not 100% accurate. But it will increased from your current 4++ to at least 5++km.

yalor...that day quite late already and in a hurry, just get the briefing, sign the papers and excited to drive off with the baby...
btw you may have explained earlier, but how do you know your back head rest is not the right one?
if they mistakenly given me the 1.8 headrest for my 1.6, I shouldn't be complaining right drool.gif

true...got to test them all and then will know which is better...and another teori is that if combine between petrol brand also can give better mileage...for instance, i fill petron whereby in my tank still have petrol shell.(about 2 bars) and it give me 450km rm70 petron.

now in my tank all petron, fill petron another rm70, couldn't get 450km..driving condition is the same... means here that if want to do testing need to empty current fuel in tank untill fuel light come out then fill another brand of petrol. if not it will give inaccurate results in FC.

it happens to previous with my honda vtec type r engine...i get better mileage(power is retained) when i mix bhp and petronas... bhp mix with others don't work...

its  rclxub.gif. but its unpractical to mix fuel as u will waste fuel going to 2 stations...unless u mix petrols that is next to each other...but still its  rclxub.gif

but i've done it as its the only choice i have if not the honda will be underpowered and get worst FC. people say I have the best FC for my honda type r car. the secret was mix fuel...
*
Like this also can ha, hmm nice trick, let me give a try on my next fill up..., between, i feel the perf and fc consumption same when use shell and petronas, thats why i told to avoid both on my previous post....

I think it's somehow related to my short distance route mayb??.. daily 10km from home to work.. no traffic jam.. only 2 traffic with short stopage, 10 to 15 min reach office..if my wife drive to work (her work place is more than 20KM from home).. she tend to get better mileage ( ask her how much she say better but dunno the figure...duh doh.gif )...Also I'm a bit heavy foot..but previously I do try on to be gently on the pedal and always watch for the eco lite on.. does not help much.. only only~10km extra..mayb need light foot surgery  sweat.gif

Bro go to SC, make complaint, ask them to reflash the ECU with more recent 1, i did it, seems got different in FC, can't conform maybe because of my engine OIL, what engine Oil u using.. ?

Mine FC is really worst..been driving the car for almost half year.. 42L petrol can only last for 360KM Max... cry.gif everytime I pump full tank RM80.. the MFD will only show 400KM availabe ( last 50KM will drop fast and show none). the petrol consumption is on par with 408T  cry.gif  cry.gif

mmm...hard to say but 42l should get u 410++. short distance have tendencies to consume fuel. maybe u r really heavy footed and when comes to light footed, ur too light. as i said b4 u need to master how to shift early in auto?shift early in auto?not use manual coz manual hard to shift early coz manual meant for sport mode. ECU won't let u to shift early.so u need to master shift early in auto.do you know how?shift early will make ur FC better for short distance.

1. u need to watch the rpm meter for this skill
2. ur limit is 2000 rpm.
3. in 1st gear, try accelerate to 2000 rpm
4. by the time u nearly reach 2000 rpm, let ur foot off let go a bit.(don't let ur foot off the pedal it will make ur car not smooth).ECU will let u to 2nd gear.
5. do this until 6th gear. in 6th gear let ur foot as light as u can...

if you don't reach 6th gear u won't get better FC...6th gear meant for fuel saving...

if you want to accelerate more than 2000 rpm, yes u can but let ur car change gear also by letting off a bit the pedal.(u cannot be at low gear for too long as it will doom ur FC.

so main goal here is don't fooling too long at low gear....change gear as fast us u could. HE is not a sports car. its an everyday car commute from A to B. hyundai volestor turbo is a sports car. even some people review its not a true sports car, but hyundai make it as a sport car...u can drive fast with it.

HE won't go fast as u desire. if you ram it until red line, the power will be gone as u reach 5500 rpm - 6000 rpm.

i also wish HE can go fast but it wont. u can feel the car is in great stress if you ram at high revs....

but yeah, its ur car. its up to you. just wait for speedworks to come out turbo kit for HE. that will be so much fun...

my average FC after 3 fill ups is 420+++. will try other petrols just to find the best petrol for HE. currently testing caltex. drive is smooth but strange not much power.coz i need to press pedal more to get the car running. when using petron and bhp, the power is there.so caltex power is out for my car. will check how far it can go with rm70. for others some say caltext is good. yes. this is true as it depends what type of engine oil ur using. mine is petro canada. so it like petron & bhp so far...

when using petron power is noticeable as soon as you fill in...it easy to do test when ur first test use good petrol..

so next step? will try BHP again(coz i have faith in it) but at a different station. coz some station are cheaters...can't explain this coz i don't have hard evidence to proof it. but the car always feel good going that station and it always feel bad going to that station.

get what i mean?
