01 Feb 2013 got my 1.6 High spec (sleek silver)
got from NCS good service and prompt (quicker even) delivery.....totally satisfied with them

in 2012 elantra the service interval was 10000 kms ( i donno one of my friend told) ..... but in my car its every 5000kms ...is this correct??

Moderators, cannot add 2013 delivered car to owner database pls take action....

Hi friends, I am very happy about my fuel consumption. I filled full tank when i got red fuel light (for 40 litres).... now again my fuel light glows... my elantra 1.6 crossed 550 kms ..... (its almost 13.75 per liter petrol)
My driving conditions

Eco mode on
speed upto 110 kms
Traffic mixed conditions.

Please dont follow the ???/ 100kms !!! because that is rough figure only!!
Please calculate fuel consumption full tank to empty!! Happy Driving!! Have safe journey with Elantra!!

For 40 litres of petrol.... My 1.6 Elantra gave me 590 kms!! I am really happy about it!!
I dont have any problem. This 590 Kms is after first service.....before that it gave me 560 only!!!

Be happy with Elantra!!

I have one doubt.... I am going to upgrade the speaker to Macrom m3s61 (the basic one) without amp.... is our Head unit (Elantra 1.6 highspec) will support Macrom M3s61 (60w) ?????? please help me guys!!!!

Our car dont have security alarm!! so no panic button..... Sime Darby is cheating us saying High spec and premium spec without even a alarm system!! Our car only comes with central locking thats it!!

This time (mileage: 1500 to 2000+)I tried with BHP Petrol filled for RM 80 (42 litres approx). Run 580 kms till the red light for fuel glows!! Approx. my Elantra gave me 14 km per litre.
Driving conditions:
1. My speed 90-100
2. Eco mode on.
3. Mixed with highway and city drive.
My Elantra is 1.6 High spec!!

Engine is smooth with BHP petrol.

I think this spec is Euro or USA one.... Here in Malaysia we are fools we dont require anything (6 airbag, rear air con, rear seat audio control, auto folding side mirrors, 6 speaker audio system, etc) in high spec and premium spec!!!

We pay more than US and Euro spec and we get lesser than standard spec of Euro and USA models!!!

Sime Darby is not only slow darby its also cheating darby!!

I am not having any problem with the car which i bought... but sime darby is fooling us to pay more and get less!!

Ford focus again our slow darby only!! In Naza they put almost all accessaries!! Eg. in Forte and K5!!

Last fill of petrol done at Shell. The car is smooth and can do decent accelerations.
This time my car at fuel red light drove for 590 kms.

Yesterday I have added soundproof (Dynamat Extreme) to my Elantra 1.6 HS.
Now the car is very quiet. After soundproofing the car is improved with BASS Effect.
Planning to put MACROM 6.5" component speakers. This speaker no need amp.

There are secret setting menu in our HU (1.6) to change the country , radio on / off etc. By default the country is korea general change to USA (dont select BT or SDARS). This setting improves your RADIO Strength and sound quality of HU.

Accessing the Menu

1. Turn the car on (just acc power is enough)
2. Turn the radio ON, then turn it OFF.
3. Press and hold the "1" preset button then, w continuing to hold "1", press "4", then release both.
4. Very quickly press "1" four (4) times. If you wait more than a second or two, it won't work and you'll have to start again.

You will be presented with a basic info screen.

Note: If you follow this same procedure with the "1" and "6" buttons, you will get the I think if you do the same thing with the "1" and "6" buttons, you get an information-only screen (menus are not available).

Also note that at either basic info screen, you can press the Info button to see more detailed information.

The Sub-Menus

At this point, you use the preset number buttons to select a sub-menu as shown in the picture below. Once you've selected a sub-menu, you use the Tune up (^) and down buttons to select options. For most options, pressing enter will change the value for the option selected, but on the region menu, "Enter" selects and saves the region currently displayed.

Note also that you can't really "navigate" the menus. Once you select 1, 2, 3, etc., you're stuck there until you change/enter an option or turn the radio on, then off again and start over. In other words, you can't "go back".

Also note that after you've displayed this, you will most often have to turn the radio on/off twice to get it back to the point where you can start over successfully.

1 - USB Firmware Update (Self Explanatory)

2 - CD Firmware Update (Self Explanatory)

3 - GUI, Firmware Memory Copy (?) and XM DM Mode (?) - Not sure what the GUI ON/OFF item is for. EEP -> NOR and vice versa are most likely to copy firmware from either flash (NOR) to EEPROM (EEP) to the other in case one of them is corrupted. Also not sure what XM DM Mode is.

4 - Radio Level Monitor - Perhaps turns off monitoring of speed for automatic volume? Not sure why since this can be controlled in the user interface.

5 - RF & BT Test and BT Firmware Update - Tests and an option to update the Bluetooth firmware.

6 - Country and Model - You can from a number of geographic areas. In mine, only the US, Canada and Guam were availabie. In other markets, other countries are available. For each country, there is an option with or without bluetooth and other things (going by memory).

after selecting country select enter to save settings.
