Hyundai US say MD can get 40mpg on hway. i've tried and get 5.6 l/100km. not that easy. i use potent booster to achieve that. normal really2 hard.  road must be less hill. speed cannot exceed 100kmh...that is consumer sue hyundai bout the 40mpg. cannot get. majority have try it and its hard.that's why hyundai already lowered to 38mpg for hway around 6.2 l/100km. this also sometimes hard to get...but MD can do it. it just need driver to be patient to drive...if ur not rushing why not try to get 40mpg...really saves fuel...
*
may i know what does 40mpg mean? mpg itself is unit? how does it relate to the Liter/Kilometer?

for 2012/2013 Elantra FC city 8.4 l/100km, combine 7.3 l/100km, hway 6.2 l/100km. you should get this figures...with potent you get more savings...i'm no potent booster dealer. i'm just hyundai elantra customer...

just want to share with u all how fun it is to have one...
*
how about without potent booster? What are the figures that we will be getting (for city, combined and highway)?

anyone here have bad quality of radio reception? I sent to hyundai glenmarie, the SA said that is normal especially when you go to the place that have electrical substation. So sad, even my Myvi radio reception is far better than my elantra.

ya bro, it's true, both are sharing oils, shell maybe ok for lower cc car, because last time i use shell allot for vios because it results in higher mileage, but still the power is normal only, but i still prefer caltex because of it's power, for Elantra 1.8, i feel like shell is very much under powering the car, u see my first post, shell gave me only 440KM, it started to light up the oil light when it reach 412KM, caltex results in 440Km before it has the oil light comes up and i further up to 485Km before i refill using petron, petron seems to be good also, the power is good, hoping it will reveal more better mileage...  smile.gif

You r driving 1.6 or 1.8 bro?
If 1.8 go ahead but if 1.6 n u r looking for better FC well sadly it's not really that much diff.
Well unless u can live with a very slow car.
As we tested before the potent are meant for 1.8 as their torque or power is higher.
So even when they set to EC mode, the car at low rev but still can give sufficient power.
This is not the case for 1.6 which has lower hP.
If u r looking for acceleration then go ahead  biggrin.gif
This is what I discovered from our road test for 1.6 unit previously.
*
Are you telling me that the said potent booster is not suit for installation in 1.6?

something to ask,

if i change the HU of the 1.6, does it void the warranty of the car itself?
i think there is a Hyundai Salesman here, can he explain this?

My latest update on fc after first service, total km achived 450km still left about 3.5 lit of petrol in it,
114.4km highway / 335.6km city drive with once faced heavy jam for about 15 mins, so total can say 80%city 20% highway....
*
wah, y so good in FC one. I filled up my 1st tong, and currently only run for 290km and it left 2 bars to go............i took my car on last Sat and seems it not really good in FC

average speed 80 - 100 km/h

bro, make sure when u shift be gentle a bit on the paddle, watch the green eco light, make sure it is not turning off for long, try to make the eco light stays as much as u could, if u feel car is needing allot throthle to move, than something wrong, on your first service complaint to them, i did, even thou i got over 430++ average on that first  mineral engine oil, i still complaint because what simedarby claim on their website is totally misleading, they stated combine fuel consumption of highway and city will result in 14.1km/lit, that not even come close to what we are experiencing on real life, so i made a complaint they said they can't do much and they reset my ECU and upgraded to new a 1, i still remember when i saw the computer box they use to connect to the car shows 4 new ECU, everything have the word IMPROVEMENT, but can't really see what was the improvement about, so the service person used the latest ECU it has, some-more i use Mobil 1 10w 40 Semi synthetic, not the shell helix 7 that they recommend, another thing to take note, for petrol don't use shell or petronas, i recommend u use caltex 95, use it to flush out the carbons in ur engine, caltex are good in cleaning ur engine, once u finished up with caltex, u can use petron, that should give good power and fuel almost on par with caltex, seriously say no for shell and petronas for this car, use caltex and see for ur self, u will notice immediate power difference on ur pickup(torque)....
