Hyundai Elantra 1.8 2013 creamy white

Love the car from day 1. Current mileage 300km.

I went to Avantegarde to install rear light. Ah Bao said cannot be done as my car is 2013 spec. what ??????. He said the bulp is already there. but when i on the light, the middle rear light never came up. then i remember i read in ver 7 the difference between 2012 spec & 2013 spec. REAR FOG LIGHT!!!!!!!!!
this really irritates me because to on the light there is another switch.(its a fog light). to me its suppose to be rear light.fine. nevermind the extra switch for me to on it. but what makes me more frustrated the foglight is more bright then the rear light. can u imagine that?

so how to repair this?how to make one switch on all rear light AND most important that bulp need to change to the same bulp as other rear light.

do you know where i can do this? Ah Bao can't do it.

need help here.

others are fine.

auto rain sensor not to its par. a few drops of rain still it can not detect. need to do it manually. so no auto for me.

at this moment my average fuel consumption was down from 12.8 l/km to 9.8 l/km this morning(after 300km run in)

oh I also bought the Potent Booster. still at normal and eco mode. after 1st service will go for race mode!

previous i own a honda civic 99 B18C enjin. the difference????

1. more spacious
2. sun roof
3. automatic tranny(no more pain for my left leg)
4. comfort
5. cold acc

my friends compliment the car is spacious AND they love the sunroof. this 2 hard to get from old or new cars.

so thats it.

hope you could help my dilemma for rear light for 2013 spec. I bet the others will have the same feeling "disappointed".

your most welcome...forum is alive. thought there is nobody to comment. since 3 months of waiting I already survey avantegarde and speedo auto. plan what to buy...budget not that much as korean products quit expensive. so since i go to work about 90km perday and heavy traffic, Potent Booster is a must have product. so far its usefull for me..

drool.gif I think the brighter one is the rear foglight, its important to switch on while rainy day on Highway ..btw if ur not interested the rear lamp, lets we butter trade it icon_rolleyes.gif
*

[/qu

yes its for safety but most cars have front fog lights. if u stayed in genting or cameroan highlands yes you need fog light because its foggy all the time. down here not so much....if it rains heavily just slow the car. red light is enough for other people to see if to compare white light for front. so basically rear fog lights is not so important here.

just i don't know why Hyundai here different from hyundai USA. they have complete tail light.

for exchange purpose we need to find someone that can do it. i have ask Ah Bao and he simply say he cannot do it. so anybody????

Another misconception bro.

Actually oversea there's no "semi" sync.
It's either synthetic or mineral.
It's local manufacturers that come out with this semi sync stuff.

The one I'm using is Sync oil.
The bottle is black in color and it comes with 1L/bottle.

For 1.8 u need 4 bottles.
1.6 needs only 3 bottles plus a bit more.

PS: Duron is diesel only smile.gif

yes its black 1 liter bottol. so this is the correct one?????...supreme 5w 30 API SN ILSAC-GF5

How about the suspension? dont feel bouncy? Feel like car 'goyang-goyang' follow the road surface?
*
suspension is ok for me...no goyang2. road uneven ok, but if have many small holes really hurt the car...i mean driver...so drive slowly at holes even small holes

I'm not sure how bad is bad. From what I know so far 1.6 HU seemed to be better than 1.8 HU since its direct from kimchi-land  biggrin.gif

my car 1.8, no issues bout radio. reception sometimes bad but compare to vw polo tsi radio same reception quality. at some areas reception is not clear. but if car moves radio out, that's not normal. please report to ur SA.

yesterday ODO at 400km, i heard loud noise after i on the ACC. sounds like the compressor pulley or something coz when i throttle a bit awful sound come out. but when im outside car, the sound could not be heard. i throttle a bit, no awful sound. inside yes.

what is this shit????is it normal?everyone experience it?

next what i'm gonna do is open up the front hood and try to locate where the sound is. lets see what it is...but i bet its the pulley of compressor...

no that confident. just want to ask others have they done it????
like my fren he bought honda freed and the car has no spare tyre. honda just equip with tyre sealant kit. honda have done it. so do we right??? but like him he have no choice maybe the car has no space to put spare.

another issue if use this tyre sealant, can use back the tyre but need to clean it(take out the foam). this im not too sure all tyre shop can do or not.

anybody has this experience????

I've look tru some of those sealant, some are water based, so can washed away with water. Some require special chemical to melt them. But I have no experience using one. Maybe can ask tyre shop comment.
*
yup. brand holts is water based. jusco sell it at rm35-rm40 per can. yes wash away with water. i think any tyre shop can do it but of course they will charge. recently i have ask the owner from hyundai service and he says tyre spare is more better.

but if Honda and other cars already use it , for sure they have studied this right??? in my opinion the only risk of this sealant is that they do exspired. not mistaken lifespan of 5 years only. the spare tyre of course after 10 yrs can still use it.

only to those who dare to do it.

save some kilo's and have better FC.

and to think the hassle of changing tyre and time consuming, tyre sealant is very handy especially to the girls...

so who dare not to use spare tyre????anyone????? brows.gif

yeah ur right...for all honda freed owners....call for tow truck! i've just check the spare tyre and elantra use small tyres..not tyres with the 17 inch rim. so this one i think not that heavy...
