Trust me, long distance drive, this 408T is super save, I pump full tank at JB, drive down to Singapore, (heavy jam at custom ) then next day drive back to Shah Alam, and still enough fuel to go to PJ for service. how's that, 130km/h to 150km/h most of the time. much better then the SAGA FL........

So far, i think the FC is quite ok for this car. I have driven almost 5K KM (mixed driving) and the average FC is 8.5l/100km.
The trick, i think, is to move up the gears as soon as possible. The more you drag on 1st and 2nd gears, the more fuel it uses. It is ok to drag the lower gears in short bursts. I also realized that the speed and the gears must match, e.g. you will use more fuel in 6th gear if you drive slow. Its better to use 4th or 5th gear at slower speed.
Similarly, sports mode does not necessarily consume more gas. In fact, you can drive on sports mode at a consistent speed and it uses only about 6-7l/100km, at times 5.5l/100km only. Short bursts are ok and they should cancel off if you can keep a constant speed (at between 6-7l/100km) over relatively long distances later on.

Don't really know if it's just the brand. I think most of us have changed to Delco. Will have to wait and see how long this brand lasts to confirm. I was one of the unlucky ones to change on the 13th month!

May be it is Ford Sync that has sucked out all the juices. There has bee tonnes of complaint on that system. May be they should just name it ford Stink or Ford sink instead This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Oct 14 2013, 06:01 AM

Hi. Just got my 408 2.0. There're pieces of plastic wrap on the body that could not come off. Any ideas how to remove it?
The inner part of the wheels seem to be rusted. Will this be an issue?

Getting Started

|
My battery KO today after exactly 1 year and 1 month, 25k Km. Call Peugeot Careline at 8pm. At 9pm, technician brought Delco battery to replace the yokohama. Cost is RM577.40.
Actually there was sign of battery weak since few days before. Car was a little bit difficult to start.
According to the technician, I was lucky that my yokohama battery can last more than one year. He said Delco battery is better and warranty is 25k Km instead of 20k for yokohama. Although still one year.

The inner part of the wheels seem to be rusted. Will this be an issue? The wrap is just protective cover, should peel off easily. As for the rusty wheel insides,I think you mean the brake disc. It's just surface rust which will brush off as you apply brakes. Nothing to worry bro, enjoy your Lion.

Didn't bother to test drive. Understand it's got pretty good handling. Any idea how the handling compares with our turbo.
