Nice one bro. I have 2 Bemers in the family,both 325s. Both owners are unhappy my little 1.6 gives them a run for the money. One guy actually said the handling on our Pugs is superb,but stooped short of admitting it's better than  his E90....hehehe!

Glad you asked this question. I did a fair bit of research before deciding to buy the 408t. Actually it's not the turbo,but rather the engine itself.

All direct injection engines suffer from premature carbon buildup. Many of the early 308t suffer from this problem badly. As a result several measures have been adopted to combat this problem. One of the measures is to run the car at speeds above 110kmh periodically.

The Prince engine on our 408t carries 8 mods addressing reliability issues. This engine/gearbox is proving reliable and not exhibiting problems faced by early pugs. Nevertheless I can't resist the temptation of unleashing my Lion every chance I get! I won't say you have to run this car fast,but i seriously doubt if you can resist the addiction.

408T is a value buy, you made a right choice.

Either you want to drive fast or drive slow, doesnt matter as long as you dont trouble other drivers and become a hazard yourself. Just drive safe everyone.

Anyway the 408's white is called Alpine White. Anyone know whether it shares the exact same color code as the beemer's Alpine White? Wanna buy some touchup pens on ebay but not sure of the real color code..

i got my 408T for just 3 days now. Total 150km, FC like 13.5L/100km, average 21km/h. Most of the time stuck in jam. Is the FC too high?

Perhaps you can drive a bit to Rasta TTDI as PCM had mini TT session there 8pm onwards (22-Aug 13).

I complained a few times... but thanks for your advise, so far, I noticed you have been a really positive "element" here hehehe....... havent been driving the car a lot lately... due to fuel price  and also i left another 1500km to the 40k km service interval... hahahah
