I just cancelled my servicing booking to different service center. Previously booked at Balakong but after hearing the bad stories, booked CSL. Balakong really need to educate their staff, when I called, and said wanna cancel booking, the recep just hung up the phone without asking further details or acknowledging. That is just bull

Boss, CSL one is not much better. Better double or triple check your appointment date confirmation as they can simply call you up on the appointed date and tell you "no engineer" and reschedule your visit rolleyes.gif I kena before, well my wife actually because I was overseas so my wife drove the car there on my behalf.

Some more they say got software update for my car, but happens to be "system down" on that day and say will call me back to continue with the software update. Many many moons later, I still havent get a single call rolleyes.gif

Like I said before, peugeot cars are good. It's the SC/distributor that ruins the whole experience shakehead.gif

Anyone replaced the wiper? Any idea the cost? Possible to replace the right side to 1' longer?
*
Never replace yet. Keep googling and find out the cost around RM200 and sell combo left and right. i dont think its possible to replace the right side to different size because the clips are different for left and right unless got other cars with same clips and longer on right side. cry.gif

Erm... sorry ah, I mean just the rubber itself. Not the whole wiper stick. As my left wiper rubber tear off abit, den I cut it off before it get worse. Now left wiper is quite short compare to ori, Haha... just enough to wipe over the auto rain sensor.

Just found our 408 using Nippon paint, not PPG or Glasurit. I even call up for quote on Glasurit paint touch up for the dent on my peugeot which cost 500 where CSL quote me only 200.

Since the whole car is Nippon, no point I touch up with quality Glasurit at 500 now.

How come my Suzuki using PPG which much better paint than peugeot using Nippon.

Hi guys, I getting my 408 Turbo 2mths ago. My petrol consumption from the pass 2mth until now is stay between 19~22L/100KM. I did do a record and it shows that every 50L of petrol can only last for average around 250km. May I know is that normal with this high petrol consumption ? I am staying in a small town with no highway and a lots of traffic light.
*
Based on my experience, this is not so right...mine 1st tank 9.0L/100KM, 2nd tank 9.2L/100KM, 3rd tank 8.6L/100KM for your comparison...70% town, 30% Highway in average

I did test In highway (from JOHOR to Genting) the consumption is around 8.7L/100KM. But when back to my hometown (100% town) the consumption back to 22L/100KM cry.gif

I sent in my 2.0NA to check on the engine dies-off problem (so far only once) and steering buzzing noise when turning especially when coming out from/going into a parking or turning out from a junction.

The service supervisor explained that it is normal for 2.0NA steering to make a little bit of buzzing whirling sound when making a turning at low speed. It is because the 2.0NA is using the electric-motor power assisted steering (Same as 407). Other model like 308 do not have such noise as 308 is using different kind of power assisted steering. Is that true? Other 2.0NA owners have such buzzing noise when making a turning?

Just pointed out by the service supervisor that there is a small dent but deep (can see the metal) on my car engine bonnet (dunno who the hell did that  mad.gif  vmad.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif ). Can I just do the paint patching? Any good paint shop to recommend in KL/PJ?

Pugbunny, steering buzzing sounds is there but not loud. Only noticed if no radio on.

As on your previous engine die off, r there any other symptoms u noticed? Like hiccups on engine (as though engine missed a beat)...im just wondering whether.it could be fuel issue -both fuel or injector. Just wild guess anyhow

Just done 2500km inspection at Butterworth Peugeot SC as I was Balik Kampung last weekend. Complained two things:

1. Wind sound at 90km on front passenger window near C pillar
2. The speaker vibrate on front passenger door

Results: Nothing has been rectified or repaired

They were unable to adjust the rubber strips on the passenger door to close up the gaps, so the wind sound still appearing mainly on highway drives.
They even didn't bother to open up the door panel and tightened up the speaker's screw, instead asked me to reduce the bass level while listening songs.
Useless SC with Useless technicians. The technicians are very poor and this is the newest Peugeot SC just launched 3 weeks ago.

I managed to get 650km for a full tank drives (2.0NA) . Fueled up RM107 ESSO Ron95 at rawang just before enter the highway. The full tank lasted for Rawang - Butterworth - Rawang (didn't go for any jalan-jalan at Butetrworth). I think its FC is better on highway.
How to calculate the FC.

Kalai, I had same prob with qind noise when took delivery. Complsint to sc on 2nd week and they ordered new stock but only able to refit 2weeks later. After new fittings, issue solved. Service said mostly due to production defect it seems. Not quite sure whether 408t owners have similar issues?

Cheong & Matsukatsu

Thanks for the info. Definitely will make a complain tomorrow and wait for their action thereafter. Its really annoying especially driving alone at night on less traffic highways.

I is still considering to touch up the paint at CSL SC as they will be 4S by Monday or goto Soo Seng at Batu Cave where they are famous on paint work where they use Glasurit which very high quality paint.

But just realise our whole car using Nippon which consider second grade. So I think no point I touch up the small part of dent with high quality Glasurit then. But I may check out the price this Saturday then to decide.

CSL where they become 4S by Monday are going to use 2K paint system means quick dry. Where the Soo Seng just to touch up the small dent need to leave the car they for a day.

FYI, Glasurit is very long lasting and good against stone chip.

Try to compare Glasurit vs Nippon on the web, can't find any. Nippon not in the range to be compare. Those top to be compare are DuPont, PPG, sikken, glasurit.
