And last they told me, if I already got the first email back in December, I would get the next ones too. So if she's correct, I'm eligible for the so called surprise.

YAY! That means I'm eligible for the surprise too! Hope it isn't a Hypp tv keychain/bookmarker with a big mama hippo mascot on it. Other than that SMS in Dec, I've only received my bill via email...no surprise there. Will just wait n see what happens.

I guess let's don't be so happy first. Just called 100 to double confirm but unfortunately they told me something else. So even if I already got the email in December they still can't confirm I'm in the list for the next email which contains the link to check actual eligibility and all we can do now is wait. Plus there's also something like port availability messing around.

EDIT: They may also call you, but the only doubt now is who's right, their online CS or 100 since according to their online CS, as long as we got the 'Thank You Suprise' email back in December (even if it has a UniFi logo on it), we should still get the next email or a call to confirm whether we agree or not.

My friend called 100 and they told him current Streamyx customers will get free speed upgrade to their next package, like from 1Mbps to 2, 2 to 4 and so on, but according to him no upgrade for 8Mbps users. So if it's real then unfair again lorh since some 4Mbps users will be paying just RM130 later to get the same speed as us.

100k out of Million of Streamyx customer.

And then out of 100k, maybe still got some neglected due to service availability and port issues.

meh this is so lame, thought it was rumored 1,2,4,8M ----> 10mbps unifi upgrade

Maybe some areas with existing UniFi coverage will still get that, but maybe not free upgrade like the one my friend mentioned.

heard that there would be new streamyx 15mbps package available in the next few months.

according to CS (100), streamyx 10 Mbps package will be available soon...

June is still a long way off...whatever they wanna give as upgrade is ok lah...it's not like I have an alternate choice of ISP. But I am unwilling to pay any more than my current charges. If they can only give me 8mbps max and discount my monthly fee by a decent amount, I'm ok with it too.
