Strange, today suddenly my SNR margin for downstream went up by quite a lot from 8.x to 22-23, and my max rate also increased from 20xxx to 27xxx

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 20 2016, 12:23 PM) I believe Streamyx techies has been testing out higher speeds. For 6 days in the past 2 weeks, my connection has been intermittent at the same specific times. When I accessed my modem's stats during those bouts, I was surprised to see the down rate (not the attainable max rate) at 14000+Kbps and 16000+Kbps for a while before I was knocked offline again and the dsl light started blinking again. Let's just hope it will be a dream come true next yearAs I type, my down SNR is 27db and up SNR is 22db and everything else is in normal stable ranges for an 8meg connect. I guess they're done testing my connect for the time being. Here's hoping for faster up and down speeds next year! BTW, if anyone wishes to log their streamyx connectivity (or lack thereof), http://netuptimemonitor.com/ is handy, or search for Microsoft Network Monitor. |

This TM CS told me this (Muhammad Hafiz):
for streamyx customers, they shall receive a notification via email or microsite from 9 January onwards. it should be sent to the email registered. Let's just hope we will get it. Or else time to rage, for customers with no UniFi coverage like me. This post has been edited by rhytion: Jan 3 2017, 04:36 PM |

QUOTE(aku_dia @ Jan 5 2017, 05:52 PM) Lodged one last month already. Questioned them why I have to pay more price per Mbps and demanded UniFi coverage for my area. Later TM staff call me say they already add my area into their planning for UniFi coverage expansion this year. But if I still don't get coverage, I'm prepared to get disappointed as their VDSL tech might not be available too, chance is too low for 100,000 subscribers out of 1.3 billion. Another case like Maxis LOL. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jan 9 2017, 01:54 PM) "you have to wait for another one email. the email will contain the link to claim your surprisei am apologize because we will blast the notification starting from 9th Jan 2017- until 31st Jan 2017 will be through sms or email. either one and for the follow up will be until June 2017 Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for believing in TM and giving us the opportunity to make your life easier. As a token of our appreciation, we are delighted to inform you that we will be giving away 'Thank You Surprises' and more exciting TM offers throughout 2017. Keep a lookout for the surprises coming your way. Thank you for your continuous support and we look forward to serving you better. Our Best Wishes and a very Happy New Year! yes that is the first email and all together you have to get 2 or 3 email" Above all what TM CS told me after checking with them today And last they told me, if I already got the first email back in December, I would get the next ones too. So if she's correct, I'm eligible for the so called surprise. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Jan 9 2017, 05:21 PM) YAY! That means I'm eligible for the surprise too! Hope it isn't a Hypp tv keychain/bookmarker with a I guess let's don't be so happy first. Just called 100 to double confirm but unfortunately they told me something else. So even if I already got the email in December they still can't confirm I'm in the list for the next email which contains the link to check actual eligibility and all we can do now is wait. Plus there's also something like port availability messing around. EDIT: They may also call you, but the only doubt now is who's right, their online CS or 100 since according to their online CS, as long as we got the 'Thank You Suprise' email back in December (even if it has a UniFi logo on it), we should still get the next email or a call to confirm whether we agree or not. My friend called 100 and they told him current Streamyx customers will get free speed upgrade to their next package, like from 1Mbps to 2, 2 to 4 and so on, but according to him no upgrade for 8Mbps users. So if it's real then unfair again lorh since some 4Mbps users will be paying just RM130 later to get the same speed as us.

QUOTE(aku_dia @ Jan 16 2017, 06:46 PM) FML TM, this is their TQ surprise!!"for 8 mbps, we get surprise for free VOD for 4 months, hypp tv pack for 12 months or webe and get RM 10.00 disckaund to streamyx and coupon" as told by TM live chat agent. The worst part? The offers all already quite sh*t and we could only get either one of them. This post has been edited by rhytion: Jan 16 2017, 07:29 PM |

Just curious about what modem is TM currently offering for new Streamyx 8Mbps subscriptions, since I'm considering to terminate my current line once contract ends to get new equipment with a new subscription (as long as it's still RM140, and it's OK to do like that right?), or maybe will just use the other fixed line number in my house to apply.

QUOTE(cicak.fakir @ Feb 3 2017, 08:47 PM) rather than doing it that and loosing "loyalty", freedom from contract, going to bottom of the queue in port requests, loosing current POTS number, etc etc, you might just go buy new modem on your own. Thanks for the opinion. If so I guess I will just kept it and get myself a new modem. |

QUOTE(one_guy @ Feb 4 2017, 02:33 PM) Guys, my downstream rate change to 8191 kbps.. I don't think there's a way for us users to change it. Try lodging more complaints to TM and if they don't raise it back better complaint to MCMC since this is obviously some kind of 'downgrade' without user consent. Last time was 10000 kbps something... Doing speed test never got 8mbps anymore... Playing around 6.8mbps to 7 Mbps... When call TM they said TM only promise 80% of the speed... WTF...how can change to old speed again?
