CM Storm Trigger, QuickFire TK, Corsair K60/K90, Logitech G710+, Rosewill RK9100, Leopold and Ducky are using Cherry style stabilizers.

My friend just bought the TK, while the backplate reflection on the backlight is certainly amazing in the first glance, it also made the switch misalignment problem quite significant. Overall quite solid, but definitely not the choice for those picky perfectionists.  tongue.gif

oh.... thanks for the info zongeva!!! notworthy.gif

different with QFR, Filco, Ducky, Rosewill..costar oem board
susah cari keykaps if want to change.

yea, agreed.... that is why i only buy keyboards with "standard" layout, or "majority layout" XD
the most i will go to are those with 1.5x modifiers, which are still ok and not as hard or awkward to find as those "random" stems or "random" lengths.... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
QUOTE(wyh @ Jan 31 2013, 10:33 AM)
trueeee.. getting a mech kb must have 50:50 ratio of quality and easily accessibility of keycaps if not it looks like typical kb lol

ARe you worried about click clacking sound of wire stabilizer? The biggest issue with these stabilizers are squeaking issue.

^I have not seen any other keycap designs by Rosewill since the RK9000 is super standard, which is unfortunate for the RK9100.

By the way, you guys know Rosewill makes a ton of other things too? Rosewill Blender anyone?

I dont think we can help you with backlit keyboard keycaps eh. I have already asked Rosewill if we can just OEM a ton of keycaps from the factory in different grades and colors and the answer was "no". I am not sure why so because their orders for keyboards are in the thousands with factory and should be easy to get factory to make a few more.

Rosewill is owned by Newegg. What do Newegg do when there's too much capital? You OEM every single thing in the market to diversify:
http://www.newegg.com/Rosewill/BrandStore/...77?Tpk=rosewill

Look at the list. Sadly not everything is good. And even if those that are good may have poor reviews on Newegg. The problem is that they are the OEM and the sell the very first batch out on their own sales channel. Feedbacks are then left and they further improvise the products. The sad part is that they never/seldom discontinue the first batch SKU and rename it to second batch SKU in order to refresh their rating.

That's why people who are reliant on these reviews still think the USB connector problem exists on the RK9000. Rosewill replaced all 200-300 of the problematic RK9000 without a single penny for our partners. That's the kind of customer service you get biggrin.gif

Depends on yr preferences. Most people will say Typing+Gaming = Brown switch but i tried brown, I'm not satisfied totally. Blue is the best for typing coz i do my typist most, and red is the best after blue no matter what lol. Black like so so feel only...

Mind explaining why? You don't fancy the tactile feedback when the key is pressed?

guess you, me, zongeva and cyntrix all have same preference laugh.gif laugh.gif

i also liked blue for typing and after trying them (blue, red, brown and black), i felt red would be the only other switch i would buy other than blue.... unless i have chance to test out other exotic switches like clears, grey or green. sweat.gif

For the lacked of better word - half @ssed. Nooo...I said it

But from a business perspective, it is the best selling switch of all time. I think there's probably too much influence from the net or something.

Blue = The de facto typist switch. Noisy, clicky, no rough friction when being depressed

Red/Black = The de facto gaming/silent switch. Preference really depends on how phat your finger is. Red is good but if you have heavier fingers black would make a better choice. But I guess in Asia red sells better. In USA, I'd even go as far as saying that in TEXAS, black would sell better. tongue.gif

I think most people will only come to this conclusion if you have more than 1 keyboards. If not, brown does make a good compromise. But TBH, if I had to compromise, I'd take red and deal with more typos.

after trying myself on blacks, boy it felt so heavy, just after typing a few sentences already felt kind of tired of pressing, however i think if gaming maybe good as you mostly rest your fingers on selected keys... unless you chat alot in-game laugh.gif laugh.gif

If you don't like Browns and feel that Blacks are too heavy for your liking then theoretically you won't like Clears, Greys or Greens as Browns = Clears/Greys but stiffer where Greys are stiffer than Clears and Greens are a stiffer Blues. hmm.gif

Can post a picture of the modifiers of your RK9100?
From the pictures that I can find over the net, it seems to be just the same as the RK9000, or am I wrong?

That's what I thought when i tried browns.

Blacks are bad lol, sometimes can feel the scratchyness of the black switch.
That is due to the spring scratching the stem.
While being the least favourite among here, it is one of the smoothest switches if the vintage blacks are used.

ROSEWILL RK9000 REVIEW OPPORTUNITY
user posted image

We're hoping to gather some senior members in reviewing the RK9000. It's probably nothing new for you folks but many have no idea what exactly and why exactly this keyboard rocks. We are going to start with a campaign for some selected members to review the keyboards. Once the reviews are submitted, you have to pass the keyboard to the next person. At the end of the day, we will do a random pick (using "the hat") and one of the reviewers will be able to keep the keyboard free of charge.

We are considering sending all keyboards in for review - MX RED, MX BLUE, MX BLACK (MX BROWN not available until Late February)

Whoever wants in. Quote and add your name here and we will contact you for more details

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

PS: Everybody who reviewed professionally will be given a small gift as a small gesture of appreciation
