ARe you worried about click clacking sound of wire stabilizer? The biggest issue with these stabilizers are squeaking issue.

well, not really, because currently im using a blue switch RK9000 and the typing feel is good, just that.... it's a pain in the *** to change the keycaps.... i've removed them once for cleaning (apparently the larger sized keys, the stabilizers and wire appeared to have been lubed), even though i've learnt and watched many vids on how to remove the keycaps from wire stabilizers, it doesnt seem to work properly when im doing it... >.<

and that is why im started to fear of it and try seeking some cherry style for a change in the future sweat.gif sweat.gif

The best way is to leave the wire attached to the space bar and long keys. Unless you dropped ketchup under it, the keyboard can't be that dirty.

Basically you want to remove the Z-/ row. Lift the spacebar and tilt it aside, just dust the bottom and put it back. Btw, don't break anything ya, warranty does not cover physical damage laugh.gif

You are going to have to learn that or you are SOL.

#1 - Ducky - Expensive. Unless you get the PBT keycap, you cannot change caps easily as in cannot find the. So even though you can just pull the caps off, you still have a hard time finding the right caps.

#2 - SS - Expensive. Ugly ass chassis.

Now then perhaps we can have a mechanical keyboard TT and have some pros teach our friend here how to change the keycaps biggrin.gif I'm no pro so I dunno either. I can only supply keyboards and inject poison MUAHAHA brows.gif

Well, i did tried and remove the keycaps according to what they teach (WASD's and Squarebox's vid) , leaving the wires on, just the keycap with the white clips, but it appears difficult for me maybe due to the lube as when i tried to remove or put the caps on, the wire wont stay still and keeps collapsing doh.gif doh.gif

1. I thought ducky's keycaps profile is universal like filcos and CM.... they arent using any odd size keycaps or keycap stems which are, say... "unique" sweat.gif

2. I never considered SS because of that enter key.... because i have been using US ANSI layout since i learnt the existence of keyboards, so i cannot live without "long" keys anymore laugh.gif laugh.gif

Well you can use any keycap with Ducky but Ducky is an LED board so you need to look for LED cap unless you are ok with the LED being under the keys and not shine through. This is where classic boards like RK9000 shines. You get a cheap, no nonsense mechanical keyboard, where you can change the caps however you want. I love the RK9000I it's so hot looking and so noisy. It makes me seem like I'm typing really fast and busy so people don't bother me brows.gif

Yea, ducky's capslock and numlock (not sure about scroll lock though) keys are LED mounted, and therefore only theirs or those with a clear "slit" on these keycaps would do it, but for me it is totally fine for them not to shine through because it is very bright and kind of distracting when im watching my animes (the RK9000's blue LEDs.... so freaking bright that whenever im watching my animes in a straight up posture, i would need to turn the numlock off sweat.gif sweat.gif

HAHAHHAHAAH...... i definitely know that feel man!!!! Well, currently im still a average typist, but whenever you use the blue switch board with the costar stabilizers, it really is noisy but then you really DO have the feeling like you're typing damn fast laugh.gif laugh.gif dat feel~~~~

Need to check the pricing first. I'm not sure how many would want to pay RM 200 for a set of keycaps when RM 49 more gets you a complete keyboard sweat.gif That is assuming those Ducky caps really cost this much.

On OSX, the numlock key is permanently on.

Tomorrow go back and buy the RK9000I

My personal Setup:

Waiting for my HiVi White X3 (ok I probably will keep the X4 but they don't have it in white).

If you are on PC, you can get this instead of the MM.

I actually use an G500. The MM is for show only.

I've always wanted to make keycaps easily available in MY. The problem has always been sourcing. I've inquired and will see how things go. Maybe we can bring some in together with the 78 version. If there's particular colors you guys want, you probably want to voice it out now.

There are 3 PCs here. So no not a Mac freak, just a little Mac-addicted because the eco system and the OS itself forces me to be tidy. The mission control helps me multitask with just one monitor instead of three. My car is not white so I don't qualify as white fetish but hey it's happening........ wub.gif

Pushing it leh! If you guys can find out which factory we should order the caps from, we can get you just about any caps. We can even bundle them out with RK9000. The problem is that..we have no time to do this sort of research and we want to deal with factory direct, don't want to deal with Taobao.
