Hi guys, based on your experience with huawei on the job application process, appreciate you guys could give me some ideas on my situation here.

I got a reply from HR in 4 weeks back saying that I have passed the interview section and my application was in the midst of process. Such process would take about 3 weeks.

However, during this time around when i wrote them a follow-up email, it seems thing has changed, unlike the previous email, i no longer receive an immediate reply and somehow hear nothing upon 3 days. For me it sounds a bit strange and i got a feeling that they might have found someone to fill in the void. If that's the case, at least i could move on with other concrete offers on the table.

Thus hope someone could clear me a doubt. Does this sound normal in huawei by not updating the final status to non-selected candidate? Even you have been told to pass the interview? Could it be meant something else?

it seems huawei is damn confident that the shortlisted candidate will always be available for them after months? i wonder they have backup plan if the shortlisted candidate ends up rejecting them and move on with others....as with such a lengthy process they should have much extra alert on this situation, my two cents.

You must be NEW
Useless Position, doing internal financial work and deal with project team. If you cannot stand the stress from Project Team, you will be devour within weeks.
Judging your age, probably you are not a Senior yet. Unless your technical & soft skill is dam good. Senior is at least Hay Level 17.
LOL? You need Mandarin to survive, what post are you working as?

Hi Chicaman, may I know what the reason you say this finance position is useless. I got called by Huawei as well for this Project Finance Manager position to be based either in Manila or Jakarta. May I know roughly salary package?? What are job scopes?? Contract renewable?? Accommodation provided?? Hope to get advice from you, tqvm

if u having 6 years of experience, i dont think u can get hay level 17 in huawei.  u max can get is only 16, but i believe mostly is only 15.
since u are ccie certify, then u better go other IT vendor company which more appreciate ur cert.  like what other said, huawei got their own certification and they dont really appreciate other cert, that is my feel and experience too.

Does the hay level mean anything?

Means the ceiling for salary increment & also the level for you to take up HOD role, anyway HOD does not applicable to non Chinaman.

China is not dominating the whole world like how the West Conquer in the past.

Hello all, yesterday I just realised that I am actually joining Huawei as outsourced employee (payroll etc are not under Huawei). Because even when signing the job offer letter it didn't stated that I will work under huawei but rather the company that offers me the job. Heard quite a few bad reveiws about working at huawei as outsourced staff(heavy workload, bad work life balance, no promotion possibility etc.). Can anyone here confirm this? Btw I was assigned as system trainee or back office engineer, not really sure....

Don't do it bro. basically huawei pay money to your contract company, and contract company pay you a portion.
All ur claims wont go to huawei. will go to contract company... and this is where they fck u. if company is bad or dont make money, they wont pay your claims. plus, read your terms... i believe if u take leave u wont be paid also for that day.
They will promise u if u are good u can be huawei staff. but huawei doesnt do permanent nowadays d... its contract under huawei, and that wan also hard to achieve unless u work damn hard.
u will do all the hardwork, but dont get benefits/bonuses of huawei staff.

BUT, if the money is good, and ur single and ready to give your all... by all means go ahead.
