Hi all,
I've been provided for an opportunity to interview for the position Fixed Network Product Engineer under BSSC. They told me main job scope involves presales bidding and response to RFI/RFQ and sometimes need to take short business trip for support. It also includes design and planning. Want to know aside from the culture mention in this thread, is this position somewhat standard in most engineers job scope? Does it require to travel often? Thanks alot guys! |

QUOTE(cannyeo @ Jan 11 2016, 03:03 AM) Don't mean to judge their performance, but the turnaround time is usually between 2 weeks to 4 months. Yes, its uncertain. Dear Cannyeo,There's alot of factors contributing to this fluid turnaround time, can't simply say their HR is not performing. If you have the hiring manager's contact number, its best to give them a call. If you're interviewed by Jacky, you should have his number. Not sure about other hiring managers. This morning, i've just receive a call from huawei Malaysia BSSC Department, Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd The person said that there's a job vacancy available, asking that whether I am interested for job, and go for the interview. Job title : Carrier Software Product Engineer -I didn't throw in any resume -So I guess they seek my credential through jobstreet, just updated my resume on the site, but still on holiday mood. Since that I came from mechanical engineering background, currently still a fresh grad. Reading over this post, knowing that the interview is actually techincal based, (Written exam probably) I need your guidance on this particular matter, do you think I still stand a chance? Because, just flying over Kuala Lumpur just for one interview ? and Im not planning to pursue my career in Malaysia, unless it is a MNC Thank you! |

Its great if you spend 2-3 years to get some experience since Telco industry is even more thriving than O&G industry. Telco engineers are in demand but the position they offered you is not directly related to Telco infra setup, so I am not sure how you view it. If you already have a plan in mind and is so sure you can go anywhere else, you dont have to consider this. The reason why the recruiter calls you is because you chinese, most likely. |
