Thanks for sharing, but there's argument in this as Toyota claim some of country renamed the corolla as altis in Malaysia for example, and the survey didn't include it, that was for year 2012, as year 2013 is not ended yet, we can''t really trust this figures just yet.

went to sc and check, they said wont void warranty and it costs about RM700k++ to respray. really wanna curse those reckless drivers in shopping mall car park T_T
If it's not serious, just leave it or try out the DIY "paint for you"?

Yes, I concur with the above. I am not really relating to the depreciation of the Ford Focus alone but the overall depreciation of all vehicles. Once a downpayment is made on a new vehicle, I mean ANY new vehicle, the owner would have already lost RM20k+/- on the spot. Perhaps the depreciation of the Ford Focus is slightly higher, though I agree what we are getting in the quality, handling and performance of the car outweigh the lower resale value of it.
For those who value or cherish good handling, he/she would find it difficult to go back to a Honda or Toyota once he has experienced the driving dynamics of the Focus. Not forgetting the points you have highlighted above in the interior trim and fit and finish of the Focus (especially the Titanium sedan) which looks and feels premium in comparison to the mundane and cheap-looking Japanese. And yes, not forgetting the powerful acceleration. Man the Focus can surely speed at anytime with incredible burst of energy when called for. Truly an enthusiast car. It's not a sports car, but well, it's close as it double up as a practical family sedan.
Agreed on the part "never look back Toyota/Honda after driving the Ford", except for Mitsubishi and Mazda

Interesting news. so the Ford Focus is the worldwide best selling car in year 2013. Funny that the Ford Focus is labelled as a "best-selling small car" in the article, and the Toyota Camry as a "mid-sized vehicle". I wonder what is considered as a "large-sized sedan" if the Camry is mid-sized.
Looks like apart from the excellent handling of the Focus, the Forbes article has reported that consumers worldwide have chosen the Focus for its fuel efficiency and compact size. Interesting the Focus is ahead of the Toyota Corolla, and Honda Civic doesn't even get into the top 10.
Honda Civic has lost it's crown since this new generation came out, that's why the facelift came much earlier than the market anticipated.

u mean the sifu have st bumper in his hand?or we need to bring our own st bumper to do that ?what features will not be functioned properly on plus version?
Yes, they do courier it in only on demand, meaning you have to pay certain amount of deposits before they place the order, and it's quite pricey, and they charge a bomb on the labour also cause the conversion works are not easy.
To give you an idea, it will cost about 5-10K for the front conversion and if you want to convert the back (the rear bumper with centre exhaust) as well, it will cost even more.
Some features like sensor for active city stop (if I'm not mistaken, it's not available in ST), active grill shutter, auto parking etc, I didn't listen much after knowing the cost

Where are Toyota Vios and Honda City. Perhaps these models are only in great demand in Malaysia and not worldwide.
Obviously Vios and City are like our SLK (small little kancil) outside Malaysia, people drive to nearby market or visit their neighbour only, sad, but it's true.
