How do I arrange the Garage Sales items so they are arranged descending according to last post/reply/bump? Using the default by Rank, it's wrong... if I sort by Last Post, it is wrong also...

This is the default, by Rank. What's Rank anyway?

Please show me a screenshot demonstrating how Last Post is wrong.

As for Rank, a topic is ranked according to the topic starter's bump time, or a third party's reply time (whichever comes later). A topic starter's own reply to his topic no longer bumps a topic.

Sorry, let me rephrase. Last Post ordering looks normal, but it does not include bumps. If there's a post which was bumped 1 minute ago, it won't appear as if it was last replied 1 minute ago. Before the enhancements, the default sorting (can't quite remember what it was) sorted by last posts and bumps in descending order. How do I emulate the same behaviour (include everything that had some kind of activity, including new posts, replies and bumps)?

Thanks.

Update: search results are now ranked by bump or last post time, whichever more recent. Previously they were ranked by last post time only.

hi bro wkkay

is it still the principal that the sorting will be based on last bump or last post by non TS whichever is the latest?

The "last post" column has been changed to literally mean when the last post was made. I can understand that after 10 years looking at the topic lists with the previous bump implementation, it is weird looking at a "last post" column that looks unsorted. But it's actually correct now, whereas in the past it was a lie, sort of smile.gif

Anyway, I plan to remove the Last Post column completely as it isn't useful info for the buyers to know. Only the time of seller's last action (bump/edit/reply) will be shown.

You can't. The Trade Zone ranking dynamics have changed: a seller's reply doesn't bump his own thread anymore, in exchange for fewer restrictions on seller posts (for example, "you got PM" is allowed now). So there is no longer a direct association with the old behavior anymore.

How come Bump Button in our topic list gone missing!? I like it blush.gif

Now become harder to see if the threads can be bumped or not. Suggest to restore it back? rclxms.gif

Sorry that was a mistake, I accidentally removed it while fixing the search feature sorting. I have also made the bump feature direct you back to your previous screen smile.gif

When you bump a topic, other topics you have in the same subforum will be de-bumped by 30 minutes. This is to prevent the front page from being dominated by one seller's topics.

Thanks wKkaY! I guess it's just a matter of getting used to the new format after 10 years, like you said... haha laugh.gif

I've bumped my thread, but it's still somewhere in the middle in the search results (see attached, in red square). Shouldn't it be at the top? smile.gif

Hello. Just thought I should mention this.

Today when I edited my thread a couple of minutes after bumping, the bump time refreshed, but it did not bump the thread. Not bumping is normal, but the refreshed bump time makes the thread orders look weird. I also wonder if this will affect whether if I can still bump the thread if I edit the thread before bumping.
