Which section/department personnel are most  likely to be sent out and about? Or is it more to a position/seniority/skills issue?
*
It's the type of skills that a project needs and depending on your availability. In other words, luck plays a big part too.

Yes you can but high chance you might get the post of a programmer instead.

associate software engineer, they are willing to pay you 2.5k basic.. if your result is good enough for fresh grads(cgpa 3.5 above)
if + OT + allowance everything, you can get up to 3k...

The interviewer also told me that within 3 years you can be promoted up to 5 positions (if i'm not mistaken) and your salary will be within 4-6k (depending on your latest position)

The office is really nice.. they got this bar and then place where people can lepaking...

Hahahaha... tempted to join them but still considering my options

whenevr u applying, check which "Accenture" is posting the job.

If its mentioned Consulting, then you can expect 3K+ for fresh grad. If its mentioned Solutions or Services, you can expect the same rate as outside.

Yes, Consultants are golden babies for Accenture. So when u joined ACN, its really affect which workforce u r in. More benefits, less benefits, different scheme and all. Consultants work hard and they get solid cash. Solutions (programmers) and Services work hard too, but you definetly got lesser that what the Consultants get, hehehe... fair?

ACN very suitable for ppl who want experience, and dare to work late and so on.. after all, u got the brand name in ur CV.

guys, any comment on the consultant post?

I heard in accenture, there's a specific order of career progression. When you joined, you'll be an analyst , and then after 3 yrs, you'll progress from there onto more senior roles.
Any idea what's the benefits like now?
Appreciate your comments on this.

Accenture pay super high thru the ceiling, but expect to work for every sen !
Sometimes or more of,most of the time you have to work your ass of on Sat n Sundays too! Yes,they pay 6k for 2 years experience in consulting which is pretty high but you really have to work and sacrifice a lot of time .Besides, your work has to be supremely good if not your appraisal will be shit!

Accenture pays extremely well, but they really demand alot from you.Sometimes its too taxing thats y my friend with RM 7.5k job left Accenture.

Typical sales spiel.

Do you even see yourself at the company in 3 years' time? With the current climate for jobs, anyone staying above 2 years in the same company is considered extraordinary, especially in companies like Accenture.

They're good but quite overrated.

hmm.. very dilemma.

Actually i want to try my luck with Accenture. I currently working in a shtting company for more than 4yrs as Java developer. After so many replied, i can see that

Accenture is
- paying u high if u r capable.
- work for long hrs
- work in weekend
- squeeze u until last drop.

Compare with my company
- working hr start ard 9 - 10:30 depend.
- work for long hr is needed. I worked 24hrs be4, and tat is not my jobscope >.<
- involve in deployment pahse as well. And normally start from 12am to 6am. which is not my jobscope as well.
- now need to do everything from A to Z due to lack of developer. Meeting with client/internal staffs, development, train fresh grad, compose technical spec.
- step into production support if any issues that too technical for support dept to handler.
- work weekend claim OT based on salary. Which means, salary/22/8*1.
-bonus very subjective, need to fight n fight with mgmt to get, feel like begger.
- no company event, no refreshment, only company dinner provided once a year.
- Any allowance claim submitted need 3 - 6 months to process.
- work alone as all exp developers resigned. And if u r senior, need to do all tasks tat they think u might capable to do so.
- salary pay can be unstable. Last yr economy crisis, i get half pay @ the early of the month and another half pay @ the middle of the month and this scenario last for more than 6 months.

So what u guys think about? which company is better?

Hi, I sincerely hope I'd receive some tips here, I'm going to have my closing interview this coming friday, is there any1 here that can possibly provide me with some insight info on what that interview would be like, how long it'd take, questions asked, etc?

I've searched this forum and the official site, but it seems that the information provided on the closing interview is very vague..

Added on May 4, 2010, 12:26 pmI've got the job =), and thanks for all the good tips on the previous pages
