matrixation,

Since you've gone thru the final interview, can you share with us how it's like? Who the interviewer is, what you guys discuss about, etc.

I can't speak about consulting, but I did get offered under tech team, fresh graduate program. Standard phone interview, then one f2f interview at Menara Telekom. Interviewer was quite specific on technical ability, experience and knowledge. Rejected offer though due to better offer elsewhere.

i just went for my 2nd interview on tuesday and i just want to share my interview experience here. hope this will be able to give applicants a rough idea about the interview.

the 2nd interview is a behavioral interview, very different from the first interview. gather all details on your past experiences-latest events and projects (1 or 2 years ago). depending on the interviewer, you might be asked about 3 to 4 questions. i got 3.

questions are such as:
"describe a recent event where you face the toughest situation, describe in terms of when, how, what happened, using key points such as meetings, discussions and etc. "

"...an event that you feel is your personal achievement..."

"...a situation where you feel you had more problems then you can handle..." (i can't remember word by word but close).

"...why do you think communication is important..."

during the interview, they will probe you so as to direct you to the right direction. they will ask in between, "so, what is your feeling at that moment?", "what is your/their reaction?","can you describe what happened during the discussion?", "who initiate the meetings?","were you satisfied with the result?", and sometimes, they ask for the names of your project team members. throughout the interview, they will jot down details but dun worry about this. basically, if you prepare your answers using the STAR approach, i think you should be fine.

my interviewers are very friendly. they briefed me on the interview before we started. the interviewing environment is comfortable, kinda like chatting.

but i guess i din make an impact then because i have not recieve any phone call from them. sad.gif keeping my fingers crossed.

good luck to you guys!

From the way you explained it here and you also know how to use the STAR approach, i think your chances are still high.

My experience with the ACN interview process was good. They were very efficient, so the whole application process took me about 2 weeks only.
Basically, they are quite structured in their hiring process. Just like what the company does. haha! tongue.gif
As far as I know, the 2nd interview is the most crucial part in your application. The 3rd one is just a formality interview, a closing interview whereby you'll meet their partner. It was also quite a nice chat with the partner, just a casual chat and discussion about your expectation at ACN.

Goodluck to you pacmann! biggrin.gif

I think Yes. 9 months if be referring to my case.

I'm applying for SAP trainee early this month. Got a phone call interview last week, later then go for an interview yesterday and aha! got a confirmation call today. Maybe for trainee it's not so sophisticated as other experience job in Accenture.

Great to hear that! smile.gif

Basically, it’s a non-technical interview. Just they want to see that u have some ideas what is SAP, how this platform helps businesses, good logical and analytical thinking, plus your commitment towards the program if being selected.

It’s a good to have some basic IT knowledge but for me isn’t compulsory. Since according to the manager interviewed me, even a non-IT background also being hired after this 3 months SAP Graduate Trainee program.

I reckon that the questions that they may ask could be differ from one person to another.

BTW, All the best to u then! biggrin.gif

ya... the manager didn't ask me about SAP at all.. we discussed about my working experience (tho its just only for 10 months) for the entire interview session...

but i forgot to ask, this grad trainee program would they push us into solution line or consultancy line. LOL. i prefer to be in the consultancy line rather than solution...
