QUOTE(lOvEbItE @ Mar 21 2006, 09:56 AM) i tot accenture offering rm14 per hour for OT? for programmer not that sure, jz heard from fren b4... correct me if i am wrong... correct you! Okay joking, actually they got some acceptable ammount of 'meal allowance', and RM 14 is way too much slightly less then that. and it also depends on individual, some poeple can get travel allowance, based on their travel distance to client side. 2 me Accenture is not really a very good company
they only pay their account analysts (fresh grad) for rm1,700, minimum need 2 work 48 hours per week exclude lunch, alternate saturdays need 2 go back also and d other sat are on call, if team member is sick or wat, u have 2 go replace them
and there is no OT paid, u can just use those OT to change it 2 leaves

Read this thread more or other threads and see that their consultants are highly paid.

You can try applying to BAT GSD @ Technology Park Malaysia. I left IBM for BAT because the staff benefits are much better. While I was with IBM as a total fresh graduate, my salary was 2500+300 of shift allowance. Currently, at BAT as a fresh graduate with only 6 months of working experience, my salary is 3400. I told my manager that my expected salary was 3000 but to my surprise, I was offered 3400! In addition, you can claim OT allowance when necessary. Working hours are not very long and flexible. I work 8 hours everyday including the 1 hour lunch break whereas most other companies require you to work 8 hours everyday excluding your 1 hour lunch break.

MY colleague's fwen is an SAP Trainee at accenture and she earns only RM1k/per month...not sure about the pay after the training is completed.
Btw,bout the interview..guess it kinda depends on ur luck too...as in when u're gonna get called(if u get called)
In my case, 1st week - Monday morning clicked to apply the job. - Monday afternoon they called to enquire a little about what im doing now and my skills. - Wednesday morning they called to inform about my 1st interview
2nd week - Monday..1st interview.HR told me there will be 3 interviews altogether; 1st related to skills.2nd related to behaviour and personality. 3rd with the higher mgmt. - Wednesday..they called and tell me i am required to go for 2nd interview
3rd week - Monday..2nd interview..the interviewer informed that there will be no more interviews coz i've reached the decision point already.. - Monday...30mins after interview...they called to tell that they are taking me in.
I've got a colleague who also applied for the positions i applied for....til today...no news yet....

Hmm...this is an interesting thread. To those who are affiliated with accenture, what are the positions that could be offered to those in the engineering field? A quick overview of the main website gives a few ideas but i would like to hear some opinions from those on the inside.
A friend's brother actually works at accenture and is sent out to handle a project in Sarawak lasting 2 years. Which section/department personnel are most likely to be sent out and about? Or is it more to a position/seniority/skills issue? Speaking of long hours without OT, National Semiconductors and Infineon (not to sure on this) also practise this policy. However, the starting pay for fresh graduates is quite good (RM2.8k) in the IT field considering that the expenses in Malacca aren't as exorbitant as in KL.
