that trainer told me taking the cert will cost around rm100

Just make sure you have decent stamina. Not afraid to take on tough terrain. Get a backpack. Pack stuff according to what mountain you gonna climb/how long is the climb. Food,water,extra clothes,poncho/raincoat,some medication/small first aid kit and you're good to go!

Another question, do i need a walking/hiking stick?

Well you can start of with Bukit Tabur. It's just nearby the zoo. Not difficult + good scenery(west trail).

Walking stick is useful but not necessary.

The next trip to Nuang i plan is tentatively on 20th July (Sunday) , whoever keen to go just mark on ur calender 1st, will post more update here soon...

Hehe good, i sure go one. Anyone recommend where to buy good hiking shoe (What brand or model)? Whats the recommendation for good sock and raincoat? These are my priority.

Bukit tabur not really hiking lor, its hiking + rock crawling.
Must not scare height lor since need to cross rock where besides is so steep.
But for youngster i don't think there are any problem, since not much stamina needed

why not make it on saturday?just a suggestion.coz IF anything unwanted happens we can afford to stay overnight. And we can rest one day before starting our busy week.

Saturday i can't, enjoylife can't also. Sunday should be the best since some still need to work on saturday.
This time should be able complete 1 day lor, since we know the route and condition already.
