Im back at last...

How do you find Gunung Nuang? After we reached the summit, our guide said that we can challenge Kinabalu?  Is this true?

Anyways how do you classify level of difficulty of a mountain? Say what level is Nuang? Irau? and Kinabalu?

Hope someone could answer my question.

Thanks!

Yeah it looks like a never ending trail..but the view while going up is awesome.  But once on the summit, some trees blocks off your view.  And I feel dissapointed to those so called "Mountaineers" who left their bottles of water and some plastic and other rubbish in the area... vmad.gif

What do you mean by 'GOOD MORNING'
We need a major climb before we head to KK in October...Any suggestion?

Appreciate you help man  smile.gif

it's depend on u...if u love nature biggrin.gif ...no problem wit the leech...short can long pant also can...to me...to wear short,u can easily see the leech and sraight away u can throw it away before it'll be chubby. drool.gif if u use long pant u w'll know tat u h'v been suck when the blood flowing throw ur body or leg... brows.gif if u have leech sock this w'll be better but not 100% secure...important thing u must know how de track goes...to much bushes u have to wear long pant...or ur leg w'll be covered with scratches.to much river crossing better use short or ur celah kangkang w'll melecet.. laugh.gif if u r beginner better wear trackking shoes..rather than sandal..now a days they have trekking sandal for trekker..to me hmm.gif i bring both...some times u w'll need both...at a camp...

Added on June 25, 2008, 8:39 pmforgot to tell u ...if u r allergic to nature better bring along insect rappellent...also bring ur hanger

if wear long pant, leeches can go in my leg also?
wondering how they get in sweat.gif

they r many type of leech see the site below...different from asean type but still blood sucker...even tat...still got goodness of them...once i'm in taman negeri endau rompin back on 1997 to climb gunung kajang...when u hike from water fall (cannot remember the name) to camp site call Kem German (cause german scientist doing research there.got house build from kayu jati and toilet bowl somemore.don't know how they brought it there)u will across a trail tat we named it leech valley cause 1st person to 5th i think, didn't heard the sound like click2..but when 6th person on so on...their heard a click2 sound louder and louder...1st of all think tat just jungle nature but...when came to last group of de team..saw a lot of leech not just on de trail but also on the leaf of tree on right and left side of de trail...the leech bigger than normal leech.like thumbnail big...and got yellow line at the back...tat leech very itchy one..allergic ppl cannot tahan one...one more thing tat leech can jump...dont ask me how...it's true...when we reach at the camp...not one of my team after the 5th hiker got save from tat leech...one hole share up to 4 or 5 leech...very terrible.from small2 one to big2 one.at the shoulder, back, leg, thigh even in underware also got...u spray baygon or wear leech sock or wear 3 lay sock, boot also got leech one..so my advice don't walk at the back line... brows.gif

Leech

for the best hiking shoes i ever had is a hi-tec.but u have to be smart to choose cause it's have a lot of model.before tat i have a lot of trekking shoes but nothing can compare this hi-tec in my time..besides it can hold n support ur ankle and comfortable to wear in our jungle even in dry and wet condition,it give greatest grip.but this hi-tec shoes can be worse when u trekking on the slippery rock.other than tat is very good trekking/hiking shoes.
