i suggest we start climb at 7am becoz we've to reach peak by 1pm and descend by 2pm
and yea, we need to bring lunch and lotsa h2O
this is a tough climb, not sure i can complete it or not   

haha.. very funny. the toilet only at starting point near ranjer. After that toilet is everywhere 

eih for Nuang trip, is it better to wear long sport pants?
becoz we'll need to pass a leech campsite

we'll need to cross few rivers as well...better bring along sandals?
what u all think?
any experienced hikers can comment plz?

Since its been raining lately, be ready to bring some anti-leech agent like detol or rubbing alcohol.  Just a drop and and leeches rolls over!  And if you're really afraid of leeches dont camp or stay so long at Kem Pakat, they dont call it Leech Camp for nothin.

Its really advisable to wear long pants in Nuang as trail has may shrubs and bushes that may scar your flawless legs.  But still, leeches can get through pants and even socks!  So girls, wear cycling pants or thights under your trekking pants :-D  Just do some leech check once in while and you'll be fine.

I just advise additional pants/undies are for girls/woman :-)

Funny but, some folks doesnt get bitten by leeches at all when they go in the mountains, I wonder why....

they r many type of leech see the site below...different from asean type but still blood sucker...even tat...still got goodness of them...once i'm in taman negeri endau rompin back on 1997 to climb gunung kajang...when u hike from water fall (cannot remember the name) to camp site call Kem German (cause german scientist doing research there.got house build from kayu jati and toilet bowl somemore.don't know how they brought it there)u will across a trail tat we named it leech valley cause 1st person to 5th i think,didn't heard the sound like click2..but when 6th person on so on...their heard a click2 sound louder and louder...1st of all think tat just jungle nature but...when came to last group of de team..saw a lot of leech not just on de trail but also on the leaf of tree on right and left side of de trail...the leech bigger than normal leech.like thumbnail big...and got yellow line at the back...tat leech very itchy one..allergic ppl cannot tahan one...one more thing tat leech can jump...dont ask me how...it's true...when we reach at the camp...not one of my team after the 5th hiker got save from  tat leech...one hole share up to 4 or 5 leech...very terrible.from small2 one to big2 one.at the shoulder,back,leg,thigh even in underware also got...u spray baygon or wear leech sock or wear 3 lay sock,boot also got leech one..so my advice don't walk at the back line...

It'll be a boring walk compare to bukit tabur

i been there b4 but only completed about 25%
but i guess the pathway should be obvious

erm...if we wan to start to hike at 7am, i think we should gather up early. if my memory serves me right, it's still a long way to go after the first toll, provided we're not familiar with the route.

after Plaza Phoenix, you'll find a Petronas Station on your left hand side. Perhaps we meet up there at 6am? then you all need not to turn in Leisure Mall. wat u all think?

kewl... u guys went up a week after my grp went... it was raining wen i came down too... my colleagues wanted to turn back after reaching pacat but me being me was stubborn wanted 2 see the summit... din get to see the ulu klang dam tho cos wen i reached the summit was already 4pm and heard thunder on d way up.. wanted to make it down as much as i could but before reaching the puncak pegasih it already started raining... slipped and fell dunno how many times... first fall hit one of the huge rocks... another slipped into the red clay ravines and hurt my hips... after that cudn't walk very fast cos hips hurt like hell...

the last two ravines really cudn't take it anymore cos so afraid if i fell another time might not be able to get up anymore... in the end... the others (who didn't go to the summit) called some seasoned dudes with 4WD to come up and get us... by that time was already 2am... finally down the mountain @ 3am in the morning... was climbing for more than 17hrs... all my fault for being so stubborn... Nuang really broke me physically and mentally... cudn't walk properly for 3 days... last week we jz did Buah Bunga... the first peak had similiar texture as nuang but wasn't as slippery cos not raining...

wanna try tabur n ah pek san nxt but already too jam packed and wanna jz keep it light before our KK climb...

but i'll do nuang again juz to see the ulu klang dam and bathe in the waterfall... but really dun wanna go through that stretch between lolo camp and pacat camp when it's raining again... der really broke me...
