Direction:
- From Cheras Leisure Mall heading towards Pheonix Plaza, you will passby Batu9 Toll (RM now not sure)
- Passby toll, immediately turn left at "Air Terjun Sg Gabai" signboard
- Go straight at that road until you see Balai Polis Hulu Langat infront of traffic light at the right hand side.
- At the traffic light, turn left to Pekan Batu 18.
- You will passby kampungs and singbaords for nature attractions.
- Go straight further down the kampung roads around 20mins or so, you will see "Pangsoon" or "Pangsun" signboard
- As you go further, the road will become very narrow to the extend of 1 way.
- At the end of the road you will arrive at the TNB sub station (not sure what station is that), there will be 2 path, on the left goig up and to the right go straight. Take the left one to endure the bumpy narrow road for a while before you will be greeted by a "wooden" arch to the Nuang parking.

waa then 75% chance we might get lost.....?

haha...no big deal..lets be adventurous abit.since we got quite a number of ppl. Hiring a guide is too expensive. I've read somewhere that hiring a guide cost rm25 per head.Crazy.....almost like Mount Kinabalu d.

At least enjoylife knows the way there rite?

Meet at Cheras Leisure Mall at 6am is abit early i think although i dunno how long more to get there from leisure mall. From what i read and some estimation, probably from leisure mall it's another 30-40 mins. This one have to ask enjoylife. What you think??Meet what time?

I have never been to Nuang, but from what I gather the trail shud be obvious, so very rare chance of getting lost. Some even say that the trek is easier than melawati hill...dunno how true is it.

Can any1 advise me how to get to phoenix plaza. i'm coming from MRR2, which exit shud i take?
*
I'm not too sure bout MRR2...but for me i'm coming from Kepong,so i just get down to Jln Kuching all the way straight past Loke Yew road, leisure mall, phoenix plaza and then reach batu9 tol. All the way straight for me only thumbup.gif

tschin,i've asked my parents for direction if coming from MRR2.

Once you've passed Pandan area, start to keep left. Lookout for the Pantai Cheras Hospital. It is a blue in colour building. It will be on your left. Exit at the signboard showing Kajang,Balakong. Note:DO NOT exit at Kg Baru Cheras.(this exit is before the Kajang exit). Once you've exit, you will come to a traffic light junction(used to be roundabout). Turn left/take the 3 o'clock and you are already on the Cheras-Kajang expressway. You'll see Leisure Mall on your left shortly.

It shouldn't be too difficult. Remember, just lookout for signboard written Kajang. Take that exit.

Hi guys, sorry that my friend is too weak for this hiking and dragging our trip.....
Sorry about that that we failed our mission and you all have to wait so long.....
The picture please send to popcorn513@hotmail.com

Hey, no problem about that. It's not like we must climb to the peak. It's a good experience overall. At least we know how it is like. But i have to admit, it's tougher than i thought. The never ending trail is nothing much....just a boring walk. But after that it's interesting and challenging especially after Kem Lolo. Anyway, nice meeting all of you.

Count me in for the 2nd trip up if i'm free on that date. Next time, our target is the peak. smile.gif

And actually i pity tschin...ran all the way down juz to get the camera and phone. Actually he don't have to do it. You guys can take your time. We are sleeping at the foothill anyway tongue.gif

oh yeah,i also wan the pics taken especially the group photo. whose camera was that? (send to eugene_mufc@hotmail.com)

Ok thanks for you all, will get them tran properly before let them go to Nuang next time, really don play play with Nuang lor rclxms.gif .

The trip to complete in 10 hours (up down the peak) i suppose should have some stamina and courage only able to complete it. Look at them skidding going down the hill i really want to laugh (pity also lar...) sweat.gif

Yes really agree that besides physically strong we must have the mentality fit as well to complete the trip and to face the unexpected rain. (I talk to enjoylife that want to experience raining forest trekkin, after 30mins it really rain biggrin.gif )

Luckily all are safe now and back to normal life. (My friend said saw a centipede besides when falling down, really scary)

c?inside a jungle better not to say anything..btw, what time everyone reach the foothill?? what's her name,......err..shin rite??she managed to come down before nightfall?

kewl... u guys went up a week after my grp went... it was raining wen i came down too... my colleagues wanted to turn back after reaching pacat but me being me was stubborn wanted 2 see the summit... din get to see the ulu klang dam tho cos wen i reached the summit was already 4pm and heard thunder on d way up.. wanted to make it down as much as i could but before reaching the puncak pegasih it already started raining... slipped and fell dunno how many times... sweat.gif first fall hit one of the huge rocks... another slipped into the red clay ravines and hurt my hips... after that cudn't walk very fast cos hips hurt like hell...

the last two ravines really cudn't take it anymore cos so afraid if i fell another time might not be able to get up anymore... in the end... the others (who didn't go to the summit) called some seasoned dudes with 4WD to come up and get us... by that time was already 2am... finally down the mountain @ 3am in the morning... was climbing for more than 17hrs... sweat.gif all my fault for being so stubborn... Nuang really broke me physically and mentally... cudn't walk properly for 3 days... last week we jz did Buah Bunga... the first peak had similiar texture as nuang but wasn't as slippery cos not raining... biggrin.gif

wanna try tabur n ah pek san nxt but already too jam packed and wanna jz keep it light before our KK climb... thumbup.gif

but i'll do nuang again juz to see the ulu klang dam and bathe in the waterfall... but really dun wanna go through that stretch between lolo camp and pacat camp when it's raining again... der really broke me... sweat.gif

wow you climbed in the dark? that's very adventurous. Actually if it was Saturday, then we would have continue to climb to peak as well. Well,i can see enjoylife eager to go own but just that everyone gotta work the next day haha
