-Actually what N7 have is the same as ipad. Its either you buy a Nexus 7 32GB set or a Nexus 7 32GB Cellular (wifi+3G) Getting the 3G version doesn't mean you will not have wifi.
- For 32GB variant. You will see two models, one is 32GB wifi, another one is 32GB cellular (which means wifi+3G)
-Until now we still can't make call. Regarding sms im not sure. But yes few fellow users here claimed the N7 is able to send sms.
-Ya no external SD. But you can connect to external thumbdrive.
-Nexus 7 can read USB drive (but need to install 3rd party apps) If you need to edit files on your thumbdrive, root access is required.
-Yes it should be able to connecet to keyboard and mouse. But never uses one.

1# All tablet and Smartphone have WiFi... 3G is additional connectivity
2# Nexus7 it self cant make call/sms, u need to mod it... SMS is ready, phone call is WIP
3# No SD Card
4# Nexus7 can use USB Storage, u need special software. Samsung hv build-in filemanager and mounting s/w.
5# KB & Mouse confirm working

Hi Guys,

I have a few question and also clarification regarding Google Nexus 7 before I go and buy one. For your information I'm only interested in 32GB so all questions are reffering to 32GB if I didn't state the size, here we go:

Clarification:
- The GN7 come with 2 data conectivities right? It's either 3G or Wifi, unlike iPad there's Wifi and Wifi + 3G.
- I kinda confused with GN7 spec, may I know how many spec do they have? Because from their spec page they never mention about Wifi version, and there are 4 mobile data version. ==
- From the GSM arena spec page, we can't make calls with GN7. But is there any patch that enable call function? Coz I saw some of the forummer here say they can send SMS with GN7.
- No external SD card memory?

Question:
- Can GN7 read USB drive/external HDD? With it own cable of course, coz AFAIK Galaxy tab can do so.
- Can we connect GN7 with external USB keyboard/mouse? Again if I'm right Samsung tablet can do so.

Sorry if my question sound noob, never use Android before, in the process of migrating from iOS to Android

Because u mentioned u are migrating from iOS, I hereby add one more interesting point (with the hope that u will migrate faster    )

I have also connected PS3 Wireless controller and it is natively recognized by GN7. So I've been playing many games and having a good time.

Next, maybe i should buy Sixaxis controller app and try to get the controller working wirelessly via Bluetooth..

OTG-Y is used to powered up a more resources hungry devices...
like external harddisk and usb hub with multiple devices...

can save ur N7 battery too

can use to charges ur N7 theoretically, but it is not working on stock version

very useful if bundle with power bank

You could DIY. All you need is a screw driver.. Open casing and tighten screw. Close casing, done

Anyone have any idea if it is possible to send USSD codes via SMS? I want to use my normal prepaid Umobile plan with my N7 3G but since dialer wouldn't work, I am not able to do topups (*1xx*23412341234234#) and subscribe to mobile data (*1xx*1*1*3*x*x#).
