my n7 is japan version tongue.gif
today i factory reset it, set my gmail acc to US and using us proxy to activate it

didnt able to get transformer / ice age, my movie list is empty sad.gif

my ebook is still japanese, after i delete it all... the free english version is back
title> alice in wonderland, 3 musketeer, treasure island

anyone here got any idea how to get the free movie?

Im using N7 4.2.1 (unlocked & rooted) + OTG + USB Hub

My tested devices is Card Reader, Storage Drive, Keyboard and Mouse... all working.
Oni 1 storage devices will be detected at one time...
My usb hub can support up to 3 devices, ALL at the same time (KB+Mouse+Card Reader).
All no need additional power supply or OTG Y-Cable... (some called it OTG Charging, OTG Power, etc)

For USB storage to work... u need this apps...
1) N7 Unrooted > Nexus Media Importer
2) N7 Rooted > Stick Mount

Keyboard and Mouse doesnt required root.

Samsung Android no need to root and no need to additonal software... it work natively

there r pros and cons, no definite answer

there will b no prob if the program didnt run on TRUE MULTITASKING
eg running on background, worst... running during standby mode

game r mostly okay, but not apps...
the wifi will still be operating most of the time, and unable to go standby
the apps like email & whatapps that hv notification will check for update every interval sad.gif

my solution is turn on AirPlane/Flight Mode wub.gif
& check the battery page too, it will show which program using the most power
more power mean more processing... more processing mean it will slow ur other apps

my 2cents

it is activated the first time u start ur N7... u need an active WiFi for it...
if u wan to reset and delete all the US trace... factory reset it ;P u cant use it anyway...

yup... mine originally is from jpn...
got all those jpn books n movies... then i factory reset it and activate it in msia...
the android is international version, tat mean blank android... nothing there...
not happy with it, i factory reset it again and using US IP to activated it... brows.gif finally got android US version

despite all this i still couldnt get the Transformer/Ice Age,
i suspect i need activate my google wallet or the offer is actually expired

1# All tablet and Smartphone have WiFi... 3G is additional connectivity
2# Nexus7 it self cant make call/sms, u need to mod it... SMS is ready, phone call is WIP
3# No SD Card
4# Nexus7 can use USB Storage, u need special software. Samsung hv build-in filemanager and mounting s/w.
5# KB & Mouse confirm working

OTG-Y is used to powered up a more resources hungry devices...
like external harddisk and usb hub with multiple devices...

can save ur N7 battery too smile.gif

can use to charges ur N7 theoretically, but it is not working on stock version

very useful if bundle with power bank smile.gif
