Higher wattage PSU does not prolong your PSU lifespan longer. Getting one with good quality does. If budget around RM200, can consider this:

FSP 500W HYDRO K 80+ PLUS BRONZE POWER SUPPLY RM189.00

So I've noticed in my Uncle PC that there's this PSU in his PC which he brought from a system integrator
This to me looks like a cap ayam PSU and it makes a loud sound for 5 minutes ( tested the fan with a toothpick, feels like the fan is failing.... ), does it looks cap ayam to anyone here?

Yup, and a time bomb as well sweat.gif

Swap that unit for a decent quality unit made by a reputable manufacturer icon_idea.gif

So I’ve brought a replacement PSU for my uncle which is a cooler master V550 gold..... when I test it in a case, I can hear coil whine when I was at the back of the case, but when I was in front of the computer( as if normal sitting position), the coil whine is inaudible, is this Normal ?

Yes coil whine is perfectly normal and usually does not indicate a faulty PSU icon_idea.gif

Great, thanks for letting me know about it.... hope I don't need to claim warranty for the next 10 years as I will be deploying this PSU in my uncle PC(replacing his "cap ayam" PSU), 2 hours away from KL thumbup.gif, Wondering if there's any place in Ipoh where I can RMA this PSU if needed?

I'm planning to buy custom sleeve extension cables. Is there any thing that I should be aware of?

More than enough - even a good quality 550W can power a 5700 XT easily icon_idea.gif

P.S. that board has poor VRMs setup - consider the ASRock B450M Pro4 instead if you can icon_idea.gif

Not much really, as most PSUs as this range have the same tier performance wise icon_idea.gif

anybody use FSP Dagger Pro 650W ?
how is it compare Corsair SF 600W (platinum is a bit overkill isnt?)

i had
Ryzen 3600 + Cooler stock
Gigabyte aorus B450-I Mini itx-wifi
Gigabyte OC 5700XT
Corsair 16GB 3200mhz / Trident Z Neo 16GB 3600mhz
XPG Adata 512GB NvME
256 GB SSD Samsung 860
2 casing Fan

power by Bitfenix Whisper 650W , but show "NO DISPLAY" on monitor.
checked by store nothing wrong with the HW (they can boot up until BIOS), and also my monitor is fine as im using it now.
