For your information, nfsmw is capped at 30fps. |

I would suspect the driver first... if you still using the stock driver just go to nvidia website and download the latest driver... |

any issue when updating the video driver for y500? i think i've heard before if i'm not mistaken that the brightness control stopped working?

option 1 = SSD in HDD original location, HDD swap to ODD or
option 2 = mSata SSD install slot, HDD swap to ODD, leave the original HDD slot empty
which one better?

Try put all settings to high and turn off FXAA. if still not satisfied lower the graphics. u dont FXAA unless u care about details in a game,lol  |

Just now I try to update my driver to latest one, then I ran the game and its smooooooth. Then I shut down, and I run the game again when I was home, it's lag again. Quite fed up

Quite fed up 1. check you're on correct power profile + AC powered, not battery 2. check the game is running on which GPU (not sure Y400 is running on Optimus or not... is it?) 3. check driver version again, in case it got rolled back 4. check the temperature... if all is ok, I'll suspect the game version... |
