Illegear and Aftershock are both resellers of Clevo laptops. Clevo doesn't sell their laptops directly to consumers because they are barebones laptops.

i see. aftershock seems to have better pricing. even after the exchange rate conversion.

Illegear is still worth more than Aftershock, unless the salary you got paid is in SGD and/or you are buying it in Singapore.

the logic here is, with the total shipping charges that you bear + the laptop unit, it is more expensive than local reseller.

Well IMHO, since SGD is stronger than MYR (with relationship to USD), it does make sense if Aftershock costs less than Illegear (not including shipping fee). It's just I don't see the point of going to or ordering from Singapore if you live in Malaysia. Unless of course you live near the border, than probably that's acceptable. tongue.gif

XG15 v2 is similar to illegear RE-15.
X15S is similar to illegear RS-15.

Do you configuration again, and tell us if you still think aftershock is cheaper than illegear laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I would only recommend Aftershock if you going all out.
If not,not really
same to say for Illegear, you don't have any plan for upgrade in future
better look for MSI/AW/Asus solution instead.

Well, if i tried to configure my system on the Aftershock website, after conversion, it is a bit less than that what the Price Illegear is selling.

Though, they don't have nearly all the customisation that Illegear has.

And the Titan is not the same as the RX-17 it seems. No fingerprint reader.

Paintwork that gamers like. It's one of the paintworks that we painted for our RS-17 customer.

Hi all, as said before, I have received my new RS-15 safely at my place a few days ago.

user posted image
Here it is, just taken from my apartment's management office.

user posted image
No frills, no hassle packaging from the workshop.

user posted image
Inside is the Illegear backpack and the laptop's adapter. Where's the laptop?

user posted image
Inside the backpack of course. Along with the battery pack and the CDs (not pictured).

user posted image
Nice touch. My own identity logo makes it the only one in this universe (not including parallel universes).

user posted image
Smooth back-lit keyboard with a nice feel to it when typing and/or gaming.

user posted image
The rear look, already connected to a TV monitor with HDMI.

user posted image
The front look, browsing Twitter. Because gaming laptop for gaming is too mainstream.

If there's one thing I can complain is the little difference from the model advertised in Facebook. The unit doesn't have DVI port like the picture in FB, so I spent some ringgits more to buy HDMI cable. Doesn't concern me much tho, as HDMI is newer anyway. It's just that I think Illegear should change the picture in FB to match the actual unit. Just saying. nod.gif

All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with this unit. With i7-4700MQ as the CPU, GeForce GTX 780M as the GPU, and 12GB of RAM, I'm pretty sure I won't get bored for at least a couple of years with this one. icon_idea.gif

Again, thanks to Mr.Docter as the seller. Nice having business with you. thumbup.gif

Lovely picture and neat review! But that GTX 780M might be too beasty to be confined for Twitter only! tongue.gif

Thank you for the compliment as well! happy.gif
