QUOTE(eof @ Jan 25 2014, 02:30 PM) After reading through much of this thread and googling around, I'm truly interested in getting myself one of these babies. I've opted for the RE-13 Pro. Let me explain abit about my intended use of this lil monster. You mean i7-4700MQ? 4200is i5. You can save some money by sticking with the i5. and get lower tempsThis laptop shall serve as my desktop replacement. Eventhough, the screen is small, I'll actually be using this mostly with a 24" LED LCD, wireless mouse/keyboard combo, and wireless speakers. The size/weight will make a difference when I travel, and I do move around quite abit. I do mostly word processing type of work esp. with Excel. And my Excel files are usually very large with numerous functions/macros in use. Also, the usual surfing, email, etc. I will also be watching HD videos and be doing some casual gaming (DOTA 2, Diablo 3, Metro, Flash games, etc.) With that in mind, I've opted for the below specs i7-4200MQ GTX 765M - IC Thermal Compound 8GB DDR3L 500GB 5400rpm WD HDD 120GB Crucial M500 Intel Dualband Wireless-AC Win 8 I have some questions in regards to this machine, and hope someone could help me. - What is the brand of the LCD screen? - What is the finish of the internal side of the laptop (the sides of the keyboard) and what is the colour? (From the photo is looks grey) - What are the dimensions of the machine? This is to allow me to visualize the size of laptop - Any shop where I can "touch and feel" this laptop? - Your website has some inconsistency when explaining 1-to-1 exchange. Is it 7 days or 14 days? - As the other specs that I need information for was not listed on your website, I assume that this machine is a clevo-w230st. Therefore, the ports stated for that machine will also be the same as this machine. Am I correct? - With the setup above, what will be the battery life at idle and also when doing light work (web surfing and stuff)? Again, I'm assuming this is a 6 cell battery. - For the custom colour, do I just give you the colour I want from a particular make/model of a car? This relates to my second question, because I'm not sure how the colour will turn out on diffferent materials. I'm interested in full body painting. Finally, hope to hear from the forum anyone who has purchased this and what their experience was. Thanks a bunch! You wont get any improvement in terms of real world feeling from the i7. Correct me, if im wrong. This post has been edited by whatsayyou: Jan 25 2014, 05:28 PM |

You're not encoding or doing anything intensive to use the 4 cores. Not sure if functions/macro in excel will benefit from the extra cores too.
With the RM200 saved, you can get more ram, a ssd, external DAC or a nice laptop sleeve. |

I have a suggestion. Can the 'bezel' of the monitor be matt?
The keyboard is matt, the top cover casing is matt. But the bezel is glossy. And it kinda annoys me. haha. Just saying that it looks odd to have a glossy part when the rest of the laptop is matt. |

QUOTE(RustReaver4D1 @ Jul 4 2014, 09:56 PM) Yeah no kidding. how do u check if the screen is 90%?Ordered the RX-17 EVO with the NTSC 90% glossy screen and they sent it with the 120Hz matte screen instead. Ordered it in mid-June, picked it up this week (processor was out of stock), and now gotta wait till mid-July if want to replace it with the glossy screen. I ordered the re-15 with 90%, but i dont know how to check if i got the correct one. windows update just shows thinkpad display |

Hey fellow Illegear owners, anyone of u using MPC-hc with madvr?
I'm having trouble displaying video when using it. Renamed the file and made it use nvidia in the nvidia control panel, but i get a black screen and sound that hangs after 20 secs... Wonder if others encounter the same issue as me. Im using win 8.1 |
