Use VPN server to access US Google Playstore and choose your delivery partner , say comgateway to Msia
Is pretty easy

maybe wait till christmas and see how much will be LG's stock cost.

Google edited the online support yesterday, stating that no usb otg will work:

If you want to control over mice & keyboard, get the one with bluetooth connection.

Why?
[Hardware] because the device cannot supply 5 volts to USB.

[Software] kernel was disabled because of that.
Solutions:
1) get a wi-drive (Kingston wi-drive)(Cost more and drain battery even faster on phone and the drive)
2) return to google and get full refund. **Yes you can get full refund, because it was advertised to be having the function, google's fault.

in theory, there's a third solution, but no one has tried and confirmed about that:
3) wait for devs to come out a custom kernel to work it out [software], you will still need to power up the USB flash drive with a external power source [hardware]
What do you need?
- a microUSB Y cable (male-female)
- a external power source (e.g portable charger)
MicroUSB Y cable (male-female)

Honestly, who can finish 16gb?my nexus 7 has 16 GB and I download lots of shop and lots of photos, only 2gb used, if anyone can finish 16gb, then I call him a monster

no hardware support for USB OTG is a big big let down

i really don't give 2 shxts about USB OTG, i've got wifi / hotspot, and it does everything brilliantly, including transfering of files and streaming everything.  who needs USB cables anyway?  it's soooooo yesterday.

mine changed from 7 december to 9 december yesterday 

Highly likely it's stuck in some error loop like mine.  Date changes like a moving target.  But as long as it falls within the delivery time frame promised, google CSR will not take two hoots of your complaint.
