Latest from play store is that N4 8GB is completely sold out while 16GB still quotes 6-7 weeks shipping timeframe.

Nexus 4 bumper is still out of stock. Since there is very limited availability of both the screen protector and hard case for nexus 4 around, I've decided to order from newegg which has the hard case available from USD 9.99 while screen protector is USD 6.99

Decided not to proceed with the above orders due to a few bad reviews on their fit and finish in amazon. Searched amazon and found a few options and proceeded to buy screen protectors and casing for both my nexus 4 & 10. Again, will be shipped to hopshopgo for package consolidation with the N4 & N10 before heading to KL.

Ansarcomp quote me as below:

4 x Nexus 4 mobile phone 16 & 8 GB
SIRIM Fee:
Special Approval fee (1st 3 units)-RM100
Subsequent 3 units - RM100

1 x Nexus 7 Wifi
SIRIM fee:
Special Approval fee(1st 3 units) - RM100

Total RM300

Wifi only tablet need Sirim as well? Why 3 devices approval cannot mix the phone with tablet?
*
I think it depends on whether your forwarding agent can help you with explaining to customs that the correct classification of a wifi only tablet is that of 'computer' and not 'communication device'

Then why the PO price here is still higher?

Launch date is similar too

Looks like one of those third party resellers like newegg or ipmart etc and not an official LG set

Damn, that's what happen when th edemand is so high and the supply is so less.

Their are lots of options at amazon.com and if you are shipping your nexus 4 with hopshopgo or comgateway, you can have the casing delivered to the warehouse, consolidated or repacked and shipped back together with your phone

it is a problem when i fell in love with the bumper. it looks so nice. lol and still, i'm waiting for it to be restocked, or else, i would be waiting already for its arrival. laugh.gif

I do agree the bumper looks great but with the fragile glass back, I don't wanna risk holding my phone naked

My nexus 10 is already at the hopshopgo warehouse. Nexus 4 still no sight of delivery yet although my invoice from google states delivery in 1-2 weeks when ordered last Tuesday. Grrrrr! The wait is killing..... Will choose express shipping back to KL when the phone finally lands at the warehouse

Just a note...

My nexus 10 shipment, now already sitting at hopshopgo warehouse, has been classified as 'laptop/PC' by hopshopgo. As such, this classification should not attract the need to get a sirim import permit.

As of today, still no news of my nexus 4 shipment from google yet although by today, one week have passed since the order. Even my screen protectors and casing bought from amazon have already been shipped today. Grrrrr, The wait is really agonizing !!!!

it depends, some that says shipping in 1-2 weeks havent got their set after a month, and some 4-5 weeks got their set in 2 weeks

You are right. The xda forum quoted many buyers in the 1-2 week batch not getting their shipment while those 2-3 weeks and even recently, some 5-6 week batch began receiving theirs.

I called up Google USA directly and the CSR says that due to sheer volume, the first batch was stuck in some error loop within the order engine. He says my order seems to be ok now and if all goes well, should be processed by 6pm eastern time today.

Meanwhile, other international buyers in the xda forum complains of credit card issues due to google verification of billing and card address being different. Some got thru, some were hit by the verification request.

As a search engine, its the undisputed leader. As an ecommerce company, they fail big time, should have outsource this part to amazon

Many were able to buy with their international credit cards issued outside US, and their local addresses. But take note of this, google does not charge u until items are shipped, they only do a verification for the amount (much like hotel policy)

From xda forum, some international buyers cards were flagged and verification required when google found discrepancies between their profile address and credit card's address. Some manage to get thru. So, it's your luck.

Check your receipt, it says google will only charge your card when items are shipped. That's why many were hit with the verification request when google flag the accounts for potential fraud due to discrepancy in the addresses. Damn google making things difficult for non - US buyers

u bought ur set from playstore also right? it is still pending.

My nexus 10 is cleared and already shipped to hopshopgo warehouse. Only my nexus 4 is pending and as explained by google CSR, was due to my order being stuck in some error loop together with most other 1-2 week timeframe orders. As of yesterday, still not shipped yet although he says my order looks ok and being processed.

My amex credit card billing address is also registered to US.

My guess is that since google only charges when items are ready to ship, they run a verification process on international credit cards before they charge the card. This could be random as only some were affected. If discrepancy exists e.g. Address, then the order is flagged.

Still getting account suspension even having the card's billing address changed to US? How's that, I thought this will work. I'm worry.
*
Log in to your google wallet. If you are greeted by an account verification page, you will be required to submit some identification documents to google for verification. Submit your credit card statement with the US billing address. Wait 24-48 hours and your account will be ok

Yes, it's a copy and paste standard reply. The only difference is the estimated ship date, mine was December 12, 2012

Again according to xda forum, the estimated ship date is again not accurate. Someone who had a dec 19 date got his on the 6th. You will most likely get yours earlier since your estimated date is so much further away

Google is a lousy ecommerce vendor. Amazon is super efficient, last night at 12 midnight, I ordered another case for nexus 4 and for my wife's upcoming iPhone 5, quoted 11 hour shipping estimate, submitted the order and within 1 hour, it was shipped. Amazing!

Quick frankly the whole experience with the play store purchase, account verification, shipment fulfillment etc makes a mockery of google's efficiency and contrarian to its mantra 'don't be evil'

Both apple and amazon are the undisputed kings in this area, and amazon by a huge margin, imagine the millions of stuff they fulfill every day and they do it with ruthless efficiency.

I think we have many efficient ecommerce vendors in Malaysia, I have bought many stuff, from screen protector to baby buggy, they have all been fulfilled earnestly too.

googleplay-noreply@google.com

what is the email address to enquiry about my purchase, anyone?
*
If I remembered correctly, ...

Log in to play.google.com - click settings on top right, then my orders.

On your nexus 4 purchase, click help, you will be presented with a few options. However, this is usually an automated email response only.

If you can't access the help options, connect to vpn and click help again as Google Devices help menu may not be made available to regions where google devices are not sold.

To create an issue ticket, you have to call the number listed in your order form. Speak to the CSR about your complaints and they will issue you a ticket number, and an email address which you can send directly to the individual CSR.

You can use Skype or VoIP telephony to call if you have some credit balance

Highly likely it's stuck in some error loop like mine. Date changes like a moving target. But as long as it falls within the delivery time frame promised, google CSR will not take two hoots of your complaint.

how to see date change? under which sector?
*
Login to play.google.com. Look at your nexus 4 order row, there is a date column. The date keeps changing everyday although when you look into your order, its clearly stated that you made it on the correct date.

Some in xda claim this is the error loop issue that was affecting the fulfillment of orders in the 1-2 and 2-3 weeker. However, no official word from google. As long as it is within the delivery period promised, to google it is a non issue

Those who's order are due for shipping, can call google on the toll free line listed in your order to have them check for you.

My order is due for shipment by the evening of today as per the automated response and when I called up, google CSR told me its still in processing. She will escalate it to a shipping specialist to check on my order and opened another issue ticket for me.

Btw, calls from Skype to google toll free number is free

Depends on luck lor. I'm one of the unlucky ones who ordered 3 weeks ago still no news, whereas every day ppl are saying "oh yeah baby I ordered on 9th Dec and shipped on 11th Dec liao."

Meanwhile my other more recent orders all go into "pre-ordered" status on play store icon_idea.gif
*
Same here, my 27 nov, 1-2 week order had its status changed to pre-ordered from pending today. And according to the xda guys, it's a prelude to a new charge to replace the expired floating charge on the credit card earlier. If ok, a shipping confirmation is finally due today.

I've tried the reorder lottery and nay, it didn't work.

Hopshopgo is a jv company between comgateway and PayPal and offered to PayPal customers.. I chose hopshopgo due to this extra layer of protection from PayPal which otherwise they r similar as fulfillment is done by comgateway
