So we can't tranfer any file from computer, e.g. mp3, video or picture to nexus 4?

Actually what's the difference between USB OTG and USB cable?

Added on December 9, 2012, 8:25 pmIt seems like there is something to do with both hardware and software.
Google
edited the online support yesterday, stating that no usb otg will work:
http://support.google.com/nexus/bin/answer...09758&ctx=topicIf you want to control over mice & keyboard, get the one with bluetooth connection.
Why?
[Hardware] because the device cannot supply 5 volts to USB.
"Mako cannot supply 5V" (Mako is the other name of N4) >

Solutions:
1) get a wi-drive (Kingston wi-drive)(Cost more and drain battery even faster on phone and the drive)
2) return to google and get full refund. **Yes you can get full refund, because it was advertised to be having the function, google's fault.
in theory, there's a third solution, but no one has tried and confirmed about that:
3) wait for devs to come out a custom kernel to work it out [software], you will still need to power up the USB flash drive with a external power source [hardware]
What do you need?
- a microUSB Y cable (male-female)
- a external power source (e.g portable charger)
MicroUSB Y cable (male-female)
