Holy molly.. So many Hobbit sets. rclxub.gif I am seriously curious how much it cost you to buy and ship these sets all the way here from Germany. I wonder if it will actually be CHEAPER than waiting for our local distro and LLM to bring them all here. Really tempted to try out bricklink.... whistling.gif

I too noticed the sudden surge in the number of posts in this thread. It is as if all the Lego fans started coming out from their Lego vaults to post.

Anyway, some Lego Shell pictures. The new Shell Lego sets have some interesting pieces to modify my old Town sets.

Even old town sets would LOVE to try out V-power

The original Shell F1 racer is no match for the new Shell Ferrari F1 racer. Printed parts is a million times better than stickers.

Definitely still works out cheaper than local retail by about 40-45%, even after factoring shipping and taxes.
Dont think I've bought anything locally for quite some time.

The estimated RRP for Hobbits once it hits our shores would be about RM 399 for Unexpected Gathering, RM 499 for Goblin Battle. Not buying those prices here..

just wondering..
how many of u guys are actually collecting the series sets?
or u guys just buy the one u like? or halfway stop collecting the series and going to another?

I got 2 pcs of series 8 and wondering should I collect the series. hmm.gif
but forsure I wanna collect Olympic series. smile.gif

I've only collected the whole set of series 7. And I managed to win a bid for the whole set of olympic figs on Ebay for rm160 including shipping. smile.gif
Wanted to collect whole of series 8, but then my dad said I'm spending too much money on Lego. So I decided to just get the few cute ones that I like to avoid having an argument with him.
Heh.

Trying to collect the Avengers minifigs. Already have hawkeye, loki, and Iron Man so far. biggrin.gif
Got a friend in UK who managed to get the Thor promotional polybag for me during the Sun newspapers promo.

So left black widow, hulk, and...captain america!

Trying to get my dad to get me the Captain america set as a christmas present for me. Heehee. biggrin.gif

When I see the prices in Amazon, I want to buy at their prices instantly. Didn't even have a second thot.

When I see the prices in local TRU, first thing came to mind is vmad.gif price. Then walk away & secretly hope , somewhere, somehow, sometime the prices will go down.

But I know is just a wishful thinking. Will not happen in Msia cry.gif

* that's y shell Lego is 2012 best news for me rclxms.gif

Well, comparing the price for the big sets like the police station on Lego Shop At home US website, you can see that:
1) City police station - US 99.99. Local price RM 549.90
2) Dino Defence HQ - US 99.99. Local price RM 549.90
3) Jabba's Palace - US 119.99.Local price RM 800+
4) The Malevolence - US 119.99. Local price RM 600+
.. did I mentioned got FREE DELIVERY, FREE CHRISTMAS SET too?

The biggest rip-off is the Jabba's Palace IMHO. On Lego Shop at home it is THE SAME PRICE as the Malevolance! sweat.gif

Luckily I do not buy Star Wars otherwise it is really an expensive hobby.

Hi sherwin, how many percent will our custom tax for toys? Also was thinking on whether wanna get technic set (unimog) from brick link. Doesn't differ much if it's taxed. Can get locally for 700+

Other AFOLs, any other alternative for technics?
