hey guys, have an very annoying question..

as i mentioned in previous reply b4, i m new to android and currently owing note 2 as well and very happy with it..

but i found tht my long SMS are automatically converting to MMS after 320 words..

anyway i can fix this? thanks a lot....

I found this lock-in of the snb files very annoying, so I use Handy Note by appbody, only $1. At least with this app, you can use it on ALL your Androids with or without the Samsung Touchwiz framework. This is because S-Note is closely tied to the Samsung Touchwiz framework and is proprietary to Samsung.

HandyNote provides almost all features of S-Note and I use it daily to write my notes. I sync it back to my home server then merge with my other Android that is non-Samsung.

So, lesson learned-- ensure your own data is PORTABLE coz it's YOUR OWN DATA. I learnt this the first time I tried to port my data a very very long time ago.

Just get the 16gb first. When and if 32gb out, swap and trade in. Might lose a bit but hey...who knows right?

This is default feature of Samsung
You can have this removed in most custom roms and there are mods to do it but you need to be rooted

Just get a external 32 gb or 64gb micro SD card and swap it as internal memory
I have been using it nearly a month and phone is perfectly normal . Read post#4 or my blog how to do it
Only disadvantage is you cannot have best shot in burst mode
It is the best and cheapest alternative to increase internal memory

AdAway is very annoying actually. Imagine you want to download a rom on your phone. Then head to the doenload page like mediashare or something. I tell you...everything looks so wrong on that page lol!

Same here.. thanks to you for showing us the ori Samsung case. I have totally forgotten about it. Got some questions here:

1) How to clear default setting? Like when you want to open a pdf file and it gives you options with several apps you want to launch it with? I've chosen 'always' with Adobe Reader.
Sorry if this is a noob one. I tried searching at application settings.

2) Using Elixir Widget, there's an option to place 'clear cache' button. Is it necessary to clear cache? Or is it bad?

Look for the app at settings/applications and select clear defaults
So far in all the androids i used i never used such apps to clear cache or tasks - such actions are totally unnecessary. It is even more unnecessary in Note 2 since you have massive 2 GB ram
Must learn to stop thinking Windows when you are using a Android phone

Just gave my SII to my mum and bought myself this baby.

Everything is great so far unlike my aging SII( mine is the G version so it kinda sucky)

Hope I will not ended up disappointed like SII

#1. anyone plays games like Final Fantasy & Bard's Tale? Would the SD swap work? i guess the other option is the memory mapping thingy... i think Bard's Tale can install in the external memory, right? what about FF3?

#2. anyone using tasker? just curious... can i schedule task such as "copy all files from FolderX in the int memory folder to folder X in the ext memory folder at 1300hrs everyday"? this is to do with burst shot thingy... i actually kinda like that function... so, if i get 16GB... wanna automate the process rather than me having to copy each time i take photos...

i guess i'd have to weigh between #1 and #2... which one more important...
