Too bad, 2 day using note 2. Using stock ROM with redpill and found out that the camera failed. Reverted back to stock ROM fixed this issue. ANyone experience the same?
Which kernel is on par with stock kernel but support triangle away?
Check your camera firmware first by dialing *#34971539#
For redpill kernel ZKFI07 = camera not working GKF103 = camera works
I would say most popular kernels support traingleaway - test yourself and feedback here
Delivery takes about under 2 weeks and cost US$32 Option of shipping : normal airmail is FREE and with tracking is US$6 or thro Fedex, expensive at US$30+
I always use free shipping I am a faithful buyer of Melko cases and i always buy it for all my phones ( always same type of model Jacka). It fits the phone very well and securely. I have infact drop my various phones few times on even tar road and the phone is always intact as the case offers very good protection. Only the case edges gets slight scarring only Some users do not like it as is looks plain ( old man look as some says ) buut its quality is top notch genuine leather NOT PU leather
so, a bit disappointed to see Samsung MY commented on FB: i know it's not a good idea to say "32GB coming in 3 months time" coz then... everyone will wait and they will lose sales...
so... how?!? :S
Just get a external 32 gb or 64gb micro SD card and swap it as internal memory I have been using it nearly a month and phone is perfectly normal . Read post#4 or my blog how to do it Only disadvantage is you cannot have best shot in burst mode It is the best and cheapest alternative to increase internal memory
Same here.. thanks to you for showing us the ori Samsung case. I have totally forgotten about it. Got some questions here:
1) How to clear default setting? Like when you want to open a pdf file and it gives you options with several apps you want to launch it with? I've chosen 'always' with Adobe Reader. Sorry if this is a noob one. I tried searching at application settings.
2) Using Elixir Widget, there's an option to place 'clear cache' button. Is it necessary to clear cache? Or is it bad?
Look for the app at settings/applications and select clear defaults So far in all the androids i used i never used such apps to clear cache or tasks - such actions are totally unnecessary. It is even more unnecessary in Note 2 since you have massive 2 GB ram Must learn to stop thinking Windows when you are using a Android phone
bri appreciate ur answer/ reply a lot...but is there any risk to health of phone if i do so.......
thanks..
There is always a risk in modding your phone But I have yet to come across any user seriously damaging their phones modding it with custom mods or custom roms If there are so called big risks the XDA sites can be closed down already But before you do any mod, ALWAYS ALWAYS do a nandroid backup so that in case of any unfortunate accident you can always restore back New users get themselves into trouble as they do not read properly all the steps and take shortcuts. I'd say most mod/custom rom flash failures are usually user fault
how did u get ur apk after installing with google play? thanks! gotcha! Thanks! TB Pro price wont go down u think hehe or wait for x-mas sale has a chance to go down? woot woot so I got lot of things to consider lol, still dont have external SD.. aiyo
Androzip n es file explorer has app manager to save all your apps as apk file
a bit annoy by that omega robot bootanimation... any easy way to replace it back as original?
Just replace bootanimation. Zip with other bootanimation zip at system/ media Need root explorer to do this Phone must be rooted Get plenty of bootanimation in web
Have you validate your email? If I remember correctly 5 steps is basic. More than that is better.
Try complete all first and see. Especially link to your pc.
Added on November 27, 2012, 12:49 pm Exfat? Exfat jot supported by neak.
Most custom kernels do not support exfat. I think only exception is redpill n perseus Anyway I m happy with perseus as I need it to swap external card as internal memory n maintain it as exfat format
did you re-format the 64gb using 64kb allocation size instead of the default 128kb? this might save us a bit extra space if we have lots of those tiny size files within the system...
I use card right out of box n never format it I still have 20+ gb space left so not an issue at all
Just curious, any of you using K9 mail? It is so annoying as the new version FCs a lot.
I am using paid version n never face FC at all even ina all custom rom's Try clear data at settings/app/k9

This thread is very poisonous....*tempted to sell off my S3...* lol
If you do not mind its bigger size I can 101% assure you will not regret upgrading to it Its main benefit over S3 is slicker UI, insanely better battery performance at least twice S3, very much cooler operating temperature n of course S Pen

Easy Task Killer? or Advanced Task Killer? hmmm...
Not necessary to use task killers in Android Google yourself " Is task killers necessary in Android " Even Google engineers themselves say it is totally not necessary Those who continue to use such is only draining their battery and make phone worse Those who still want to use thinks they are using Windows OS
Share you this video and go read the whole description at youtube side

The Note 2 battery life is just simply amazing - i have stop tweaking the CPU ( UV ) , testing various kernels, dumping off even power savings mode and Juice defender - all these i always do in all my previous Androids Yesterday whole day in KL ( from 7 am till 10 pm ) and at least 3 hours browsing, onscreen time hit nearly 8 hours and battery left 15% - simply insanely great
if not necessary that will there at task killer on android? google engineers fail?
Task killers are by 3rd party developers who wishes to cash in on Windows mentality users You have a choice to use it if you need but do not be surprised your apps killing is all in vain as it will crop back up gain You cannot beat the system, so why bother even to do it Similarly you see nowadays many companies promoting anti virus solutions for MAC OSX and has consistently give warnings that it is really necessary - those who are used to Windows will quickly installed such Seriously I dont even have to worry about virus attacks on both my iMac and MBA since i started using it 6 years ago
