depends on who you handed it to...
* if you gave it to dealer, chances are, they dun care.
* if you give to distri or the sandisk people, they may help restore the files
in any case (applies to harddisks, etc), for recovery...
* dun attempt on your own -- each attempt to read using different reader, etc also reduces the chance (especially with harddisk)
* send to professionals (i have used such service before on behalf of company -- usually charge based on the amount of recovered data -- charge per mb/ gb)
