Hi.. can suggest for my PC Build.

[Budget] 1500 or lower - depends on suggestion can go up to 2000.

[Purpose] Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CS5, Indesign. Mainly for create logo, photo enhancement,
desktop publishing-flyer, brochures. Light gaming- DOTA, DOTA 2. Surfing, typing.

[Existing Hardware] New samsung 840 240MB SSD. Patriot G2 AMD Black Edition DDR3 1600Mhz (total 4 stick, each 2GB). Seagate pipeline HD2 1Tb (use to be backup, but probably buy new WD Black for this pc).

[Personal Preference Brand] No in particular. Previously using AMD, never tried Intel.

[System Requirement] Faster response/rendering time, more to future proof build (well at least 1 year or longer)

[Additional] Will probably buy Dell U2312HM later, any suggestion for monitor (separate budget)

Note:
- I'm planning to separate my purchase into 2 round. Probably spending on PSU / casing/
SATA HDD or non drastic change component on first round (May). Will purchase on processor/ MB/
GPU or fast change component on (June).
- I'm from East Malaysia, so need to divide my purchase or later excess baggage.

thanks.

Thanks for your suggestion @marfccy.

I read that AMD Radeon card perform better compare to Nvidia on Adobe software e.g photoshop.
I'm looking into Sapphire HD7850 1gb @ RM559 or HD7850 OC 2gb @ RM639 (cycom).
Any suggestion on this ?.

by the way, I'm buying from lowyat/ KL area. will going down this sunday. thumbup.gif

Photoshop performance not rely on graphic card much.
Others "maybe" only.

Better pick the 2gb version if you are using 1080p or higher resolution for gaming.
Sapphire 7850 2gb is just on par with GTX650 Ti Boost 2gb.

Why would you want a Prodigy? The Prodigy is a massive ITX case to start with, and ITX builds generally limit you on a lot of upgrades. Take a look at the SG09/TJ08-E, they are microATX cases, and they are same in size as the Prodigy, or possibly smaller. smile.gif
BTW, mATX boards are quite a bit cheaper than mITX boards.
650W is uber overkill for a single GPU setup. A quality 550W should be suffice. The Seasonic G 550 should do it just fine. brows.gif

Hi guys,

Im thinking to build my 1st desktop on my own, I have budget around RM3.5-4k (the lower the better) for full setup and this is what in mind.

Intel i5 3470
Asrock B75M Pr03-M
Gskill DDR3 4GB x 2 / Kingston Value 4GB x 2
Kingston V+2000 120GB SSD
WD 1TB Blue
Seasonic S12 620W
Leadtek GTX670 / Leadtek GTX660 TI
Dell 23" U2312HM
Casing around RM300
Accessories RM350 - RM400 (DVD, Mouse, Keyboard, Wifi PCI, speaker)

This setup will be used mostly for gaming (WOT, BF, CoD), some music and movies.

Your suggestion and feedback is highly appreciated.
