thank you so much for the recommendations!
so i still could set up all this despite my cheap rig? just afraid because it is too cheap to to all of those..
hopefully no problem cuz will make my purchase next saturday smile.gif

btw if the rig no GPU, can i watch normal rmvb, avi and stuffs? and I dont gaming on this rig..

another question:

• Gigabyte N400A PSU-RM100 (PCZone)
• CM Elite 343 Casing-RM99
or
• Casing+psu combo RM59

also can i preffered casing + psu combo RM59 for this rig? or i must take the combo 199 (expensive one)

Intel Pentium G850 RM199
MSI H61M-P31-RM149
WD Caviar Blue 500GB RM169
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM60
Casing+psu combo RM59
Router mr3420
*
from here, they say they have a built in IGP hmm.gif

but it doesnt seem powerful for full HD movies, lower resos movies should be fine

MSI B75MA P45 RM229
Kingston Value RAM 1x8GB RM114

no gc ?
*
well if you want a GC,

can choose to change to an Intel Xeon processor, which is cheaper and nearly the same processing power. as for the model.. im not sure hmm.gif

then use the remaining one to top up for the GC

EDIT: GTX560 Ti is a good card, but better to spend extra for at least a GTX 600 series like the GTX 660 for better performance and less power usage

HDD: WD Caviar green 1TB

if i want to change graphic card to gtx670 what should i change
*
everything seems alright even if you changed to a GTX 670 hmm.gif

but to lessen the bottleneck, opt for at least an i5 processor? which will cost about RM600, then maybe need new mobo also.. which about RM250.. hmm.gif

Intel 3770K RM995
ASUS P8Z77M RM329
Kingston Value RAM 1x8GB RM114 <--- add one more 8Gb stick if you want smile.gif
WD Blue 1TB RM219

many room for more improvement, casing can opt for Corsair Carbide series at RM200-300 smile.gif
GPU can change to GTX 660 Ti but around RM1k++
also, if youre into OC, (which i assume you are) buy a 3rd party cooler like CM Hyper 212 Evo at RM119

I have customised one by myself but I have very few knowledges in this thing so please help me to check whether this will work or not. Thanks a lot!

Purpose: No games, but a lot of 3D rendering works. Softwares like 3dsMax, Photoshop, Aftereffects, etc. So I need speed for these.
Core i7-3770 3.4 (RM 925) K version or non-K? hmm.gif price is for K variant though
MSI MS 7758 Z77A-G43 (rm389) can change to H77 or B75 chipset boards, as Z77 chipset is a waste for non OC proc[/
Sapphire HD 7850 (RM695) maybe get a higher end one like HD7870? better performance smile.gif
Kingston KVR1600 DDR3 8GB x2 (RM250)
WD Caviar Blue HDD 1TB (RM233)
Silverstone Strider ST60F-ES 600W PSU (RM265) if youre not gonna OC, then 600W is too much
Cooler Master Elite  431 Plus (RM159)

Total: RM 2916

While I am still deciding on Casing fan:
CM 120MM Silent Fan RM26 per unit
or
Arctic Cooling F12PWM RM29 per unit

and is one unit enough?

------------------------------------------------------------

AND any square monitor to recommend? Medium siZed will be enough.
Thanks for your reply!
*
why not an SSD? speeds up loading for your work related stuff smile.gif

as for casing fan, a simple one push and one pull fan will suffice wink.gif

square monitors? hmm.gif why not get 16:9 ratio monitors?

Hi ! thanks for your speedy reply as Im really in a rush for this. LOL.

BTW, i look through SSD price and its too expensive I guess.

For the i7 it's a non K version, K version costs RM1039 here. I'm in Penang but what is it supposed to cost? I think I'm not OC-ing this.

For motherboard, if I change to MSI MS7798 B75MA-P45 (RM229)will be alright? or you recommend ASUS or Gigabyte?

For graphic card, hmm, I think HD7850 is my budget limit already. hahaha. Not wanting to spend much on cards anyway...

For PSU, if 600 W is too much, 500 W will be alright?

Added on December 1, 2012, 1:18 amYou mentioned RM888 for i7 in previous thread. Wow. Its really some gap there.

And~~I just noticed this, is SSD not hardisk but an extra add-on besides the HDD?
*
SSD speeds up loading alot wink.gif

not OC then a simple i7 3770 should do, or you can always opt for a Intel Xeon server processors, works as well too

sure, the motherboard is fine with your processor, as any more and theyll put in alot of extra features that may not be used by you

if its the budget constrain then a HD7850 should do fine for med-high gaming quality

as most com parts are becoming more and more power efficient, its kinda unnecessary to get 600W PSUs. the best i would suggest is either Enermax NAXN 550W from zhen^wei, or a Silverstone Strider 500W. both are 80+ efficient PSUs at RM219. wink.gif if you want cheaper, can opt for FSP Hexa 500W at RM149, also 80+ efficient

and yes, SSD is like another extra add-on like HDD. different than HDD but same purpose, to store files

I think i'll probably build this up on this coming week. Please guide me is there anything that i lack out? Is it necessary to purchase sound card and NIC as well?

Processor: Intel i7 3770/3770k
Motherboard: Considering (Need suggestion for compatible performance) (if OC then H77 or Z77 board for easy to OC, if not B75)
GPU: SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3G OC GDDR5 PCI-E/ MSI GTX 670 PE 2GB
PSU: Undecided (go for Enermax NAXN 650W if youre gonna OC or any 600+W PSUs like Silverstone, Seasonic, Corsair)
Optical Drive: ODD-DVD+RW
HDD-WD Caviar Blue 1TB
RAM-Kingston 8GB D3 PC133 x 2 (Total of 16GB)
Casing: Undecided (CM cases are decent smile.gif, can try Xigmatek Asgard Pro or Bitfenix series)
SSD:  Intel 320/520 120GB

Any idea on how to continue this halfway build?  flex.gif
*
as for PSU, if non-OC then go around 500-600W

hmm.gif very hard to get good rig specs, as the 1200p reso monitors are damn pricey

Sry, the price is without including the monitor, only the rig. And many thanks for the reply. But pls do continue, I wanna read your insight. I just wanna play game at proper setting, and within a few years can still play at medium, thats all.

But i tends to buy at one shop and let them set everything up and i'll just pick it up when it's finished cuz I dunno how to set up a computer. So, I don't think price flexibility is within my usual means. Pls advice me in this.

ahh if like this then.. brows.gif

Intel i5 3470 RM564

Corsair Carbide 300R RM300
Lite-On DVD Drive RM59
Total:RM2433 biggrin.gif

extra comments: powerful CPU + GPU which gives med-high quality gaming at 1080p with virtually no bottlenecks

Thanks, love the reply and I feel like going already. Googling corsair carbide right now tongue.gif

Btw, I downloaded kingkingyyk's PC recommendation and currently looking at this. Please put forth what you guys think about this :

Intel Core i5 3330 [googling ... ]
MSI B75MA-P45 [same]
Kingston Value 8GB DDR3 [same]
MSI HD7870 Twin Frozr III [same?]
WD Blue 500GB [depends on me]
LiteOn DVD Drive [same]
Casing of Your Choice [any plus on corsair carbide ?]
Seasonic S12II 620W [seasonic or FSP or Silverstone, googling ...]

amounting to RM2400 .. supposedly
*
from what i know, the i5 3330 is clocked at a lower speed than the i5 3470 i recommended (3.0GHz vs 3.2GHz)

as for the GPU, the MSI version comes with Twin Frozr cooler. it helps improve cooling alot. also, the clock speed of the card may differs than the Sapphire version

for casing is pretty subjective really, besides its functionality and features, the design and look is important. pick the one that suits you best?

as for the PSU, Seasonic is a very well known brand. You cant go wrong with it. but the wattage seems overkill for a simple setup like above. a 500W with 80+ efficiency should be sufficient

Intel Core i3 3220 RM349
MSI H61M-P31 B3 RM155
Kingston Value RAM 1x4GB RM54
WD Blue 1TB RM219
FSP Hexa 500W RM149
CM Elite series (there are mini-ATX ones) RM100+
Dell U2312HM RM589
Total: RM1600++

- my suggestion above gives you an altogether newer and better parts smile.gif
- the CPU has an Intel HD 2500 which is sufficient for HD movie playback and simple games like Minecraft (not confirmed)
- as for the HDD, you can never go wrong with more space do you? considering youre gonna download stuffs brows.gif
- as for your old PSU, if its brandless, youre better off with the one i suggested. more reliable
- the Dell U2312HM may not be the cheapest one in the market but it sure is the best worth for money monitor wink.gif

MSI G41-COMBO RM159

reuse PSU (not recommended)

but you need a discrete card too, considering your CPU does not have an IGP.

but i dont think Minecraft will be playable with your CPU at 1080p though (if youre gonna game at that reso)

well, on a stock cooler, the temperatures should be normal unless you have really bad cable management. if you want extra cooling, check out CM Hyper TX3 Evo at RM79 or CM Hyper 212 Evo at RM120+

both are solid performers wink.gif

as for recommendation above, i checked from Viewnet Lowyat Plaza price list. but stock is subject to availability

QUOTE(__unknown__ @ Dec 14 2012, 12:07 PM)
Nice rigs. However bare with me as I not a tech-sawy guy and have some questions and I'd never tried building one myself.

1) Say I'm interested in 1 of the rigs so do i just slap the list to lowyat vendors for quotations and they'll build up for me? Or I've to pick up each component separate and build it up like a LEGO?

2) Is it me or i just dont notice any sound cards in the rigs? (Maybe i just cant differentiate which component is sound card?

3) Also I'm assuming chassis as well as OS is seperated from the list as well?

I'm looking forward in building  a gaming + sound blasting desktop(got a altec lensing wolfer for that biggrin.gif ) and would appreciate if anyone could advise me on the questions above!
*
1) yep, just bring the list and theyll get the parts for you.

2) integrated ones in the motherboard should do fine unless youre having high-end sound equipments. usually sound cards like ASUS Xonar or Creative ones will be listed together if the person requires a sound card. and since most of us are happy with the integrated ones, most of us dont recommend sound cards with the setup

3) chassis is included, usually named like Xigmatek Asgard Pro, CM K280 etc etc. OS is always separated unless inquired

as for your build, budget? maybe we can list out a better gaming build for you? smile.gif

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Dec 14 2012, 12:53 PM)
So can i just bring this list n they can assemble it for me..?
*
yep, just bring to them and theyll get the parts for you. furthermore, buying all parts from them will allow you to get bundle discounts biggrin.gif
