Well, they don't have high RPM and speed but i find them suitable for HSF mount, I done a test and will show in my review on the BitFenix spectre pros in a while wink.gif
*
I'm curious about the effectiveness of bitfenix fans too. From some reviews or comparisons made from googling that I found bitfenix fans are under-performed as stated in the spec.
Will be glad if you can review it and compare with other fans .
cheers.gif

Guys, ive just got the prodigy japan edition, it came with 1 x 230mm red led fan , and a 120mm red led one. Problem is, i dont think these are the spectre series as they look cheap and have no jumpers for the LED, but instead a seperate lead for the LED ,

My question is whether i can conmect the LED leads together with a wire or something small , or does the LED need a seperate power source? Im totally lost as this isnt like the spectre specifications i thought

Thanks for the prompt reply, turns out its the spectre 'non pro' fans, got confused tongue.gif .

Problem is, there is no Lighting when it is plugged in, should i connect the 'FAN LED' +/- together like a jumper? smile.gif it does not come with one.. so i thought it was funny, as reviews of the spectre has pre-installed jumpers blink.gif

edit : went ahead and used a staple to bridge the leads, works like a charm smile.gif

Thanks for the hint! tongue.gif

i do not own a prodigy so i cant help much. but i think it must come with some sort of "thing" to help?

its very innovative and daring for u to try bridging them yourself. rclxms.gif for the sake of safety u should clarify with the seller though

unfortunately it does not come with guides for the fans included sad.gif .

however, bridging it has solved my problem . I think it was meant to connect to a hydra/recon fan controller to be able to control the brigtness biggrin.gif

even the pro version is just bridging the connectors, just fancier compared to a staples lol, you don't need extra voltage for the fans, brightness of the LED will dim when the fan is supplied lower voltage, spins slower too laugh.gif this is the same for the pro version

enermax and the xigmatek are good for heatsink or radiator. i am using the xigmatek(white led) now, they are not too bright, and pushes alot of air

Well thanks for the heads up but you already have a WTS thread so that'll be enough, keep the thread clean please

that'll depend on how sensitive your ears are, the max speed these F12 runs on is 1400rpm, my own exp? can hear but definitely not too annoying, it'll be drowned by the GPU while gaming anyways wink.gif if you have a quiet/voltage adaptor you could use that or even a fan controller will do.. 7V on the adaptor or 1000rpm on the F12 is whisper quiet... but you do get slight increase in temps if its mounted on the HSF

Hi,just change from xigmatek to f12 non pwm. What can I say is,this fan is give significant temperature improvement and the noise is almost silent from my ear when it full speed.
