Hi. I'm new here and got some problem wanna ask. Just buy these fans that come with 4 pins connector. Can suggest anywhere I can find converter cable that can connect my fan directly to the power supply? Thanks
*
i believe the 4pin molex to 4x3pin is the one your are looking for: Phobya cables

Well, they don't have high RPM and speed but i find them suitable for HSF mount, I done a test and will show in my review on the BitFenix spectre pros in a while wink.gif

Guys, ive just got the prodigy japan edition, it came with 1 x 230mm red led fan , and a 120mm red led one. Problem is, i dont think these are the spectre series as they look cheap and have no jumpers for the LED, but instead a seperate lead for the LED ,

My question is whether i can conmect the LED leads together with a wire or something small , or does the LED need a seperate power source? Im totally lost as this isnt like the spectre specifications i thought

It is the spectre series. But not the spectre pro series

Thanks for the prompt reply, turns out its the spectre 'non pro' fans, got confused  tongue.gif .

Problem is, there is no Lighting when it is plugged in, should i connect the 'FAN LED' +/- together like a jumper?  smile.gif it does not come with one.. so i thought it was funny, as reviews of the spectre has pre-installed jumpers  blink.gif

edit : went ahead and used a staple to bridge the leads, works like a charm smile.gif

Thanks for the hint!  tongue.gif

i do not own a prodigy so i cant help much. but i think it must come with some sort of "thing" to help?

its very innovative and daring for u to try bridging them yourself. rclxms.gif for the sake of safety u should clarify with the seller though

any1 here have suggestion which case fan to use?? er best if got blue led...

i have a few choice here... or can suggest me with other fan too..

1) Deepcool windblade 120
2) Enermax Tb silience
3) Xigmatek XAF f1256
*
enermax and the xigmatek are good for heatsink or radiator. i am using the xigmatek(white led) now, they are not too bright, and pushes alot of air

well... there shouldn't be any problems actually, you can try sanding them down with high-grit sandpaper to lessen the paint  hmm.gif

hehe those interchangeable inner/outer frames are really useful right? not that I can say the same for the LED versions though tongue.gif
*
really easy to take it out!! but not for those that are using the led version whistling.gif

Is there any good recommendation for high performance silent fans? LED or non-LED are fine. I'm going to put 8 inside my casing.
Must be 120mm.

4 x radiator push pull
1 x harddisk bay
2 x top exhaust
1 x rear exhaust.

Currently thinking of AC F12 but i tried my fren one, full speed 1350rpm, i can hear the noise.
*
using bitfenix spectre pro non-led, very quiet. another brand that i would give it a try is noiseblocker but their $$ is a bit higher

i guess NB can be considered a good fans, a lot of good reviews from oversea..

corsair sp are really great fans but i guess their silent series wont be that silent too because of their powwah flex.gif , maybe the af series is better

Aerocool Shark seems like a good one, can get one for around rm30(include shipping). it uses fluid dynamic bearing, from what they said it's better than sleeve bearing and ball bearing.

the last time i check (which was a long time ago) Aerocool Shark was using sleeve bearing right? or did my memory served me wrong.. rclxub.gif

IMHO HSF - Heat Sink Fan..
RAD - Radiator..
*
so fans for HSF and for RAD are different? i thought fans for both HSF and RAD should come with higher static pressure due to resistance in the fins; whereas case fan (pull air into or push air out of the casing) should have higher CFM to move large volume of air

requesting advice Clem1982
