QUOTE(almondc @ Jan 9 2013, 08:46 PM) Hi. I'm new here and got some problem wanna ask. Just buy these fans that come with 4 pins connector. Can suggest anywhere I can find converter cable that can connect my fan directly to the power supply? Thanks i believe the 4pin molex to 4x3pin is the one your are looking for: Phobya cables |

QUOTE(jedi_dc @ May 16 2013, 06:07 PM) Guys, ive just got the prodigy japan edition, it came with 1 x 230mm red led fan , and a 120mm red led one. Problem is, i dont think these are the spectre series as they look cheap and have no jumpers for the LED, but instead a seperate lead for the LED , It is the spectre series. But not the spectre pro seriesMy question is whether i can conmect the LED leads together with a wire or something small , or does the LED need a seperate power source? Im totally lost as this isnt like the spectre specifications i thought » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(jedi_dc @ May 16 2013, 06:38 PM) Thanks for the prompt reply, turns out its the spectre 'non pro' fans, got confused i do not own a prodigy so i cant help much. but i think it must come with some sort of "thing" to help?Problem is, there is no Lighting when it is plugged in, should i connect the 'FAN LED' +/- together like a jumper? edit : went ahead and used a staple to bridge the leads, works like a charm Thanks for the hint! its very innovative and daring for u to try bridging them yourself. |

QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Sep 18 2013, 09:01 AM) well... there shouldn't be any problems actually, you can try sanding them down with high-grit sandpaper to lessen the paint really easy to take it out!! but not for those that are using the led version hehe those interchangeable inner/outer frames are really useful right? not that I can say the same for the LED versions though |

QUOTE(AceCombat @ Oct 5 2013, 12:41 AM) Is there any good recommendation for high performance silent fans? LED or non-LED are fine. I'm going to put 8 inside my casing. using bitfenix spectre pro non-led, very quiet. another brand that i would give it a try is noiseblocker but their $$ is a bit higherMust be 120mm. 4 x radiator push pull 1 x harddisk bay 2 x top exhaust 1 x rear exhaust. Currently thinking of AC F12 but i tried my fren one, full speed 1350rpm, i can hear the noise. |

QUOTE(flazeroth4th @ Oct 30 2013, 04:38 AM) Aerocool Shark seems like a good one, can get one for around rm30(include shipping). it uses fluid dynamic bearing, from what they said it's better than sleeve bearing and ball bearing. the last time i check (which was a long time ago) Aerocool Shark was using sleeve bearing right? or did my memory served me wrong.. ![]() |

QUOTE(tech_frix @ Jan 3 2014, 02:29 PM) so fans for HSF and for RAD are different? i thought fans for both HSF and RAD should come with higher static pressure due to resistance in the fins; whereas case fan (pull air into or push air out of the casing) should have higher CFM to move large volume of air requesting advice Clem1982 |
