NF-S12A more suitable for casing ventilation
NF-F12 is more to heatsink/radiator (high static pressure)
NF-P12 is just between of those fan.

SOS

So, which is suit to your application?

Take the Artic F12, should be quality enough, if you're looking for LED fans, the Xigmatek are an affordable bunch

I've gotten the nzxt phantom 410.. just wondering is the side fan necessary to be installed. I was told that it might not be helpful in the air ventilation of the casing

not necessary to be installed, you'd only need a fan there if you find the cooling in your chassis is insufficient

Anyone with Corsair SP or AF series fans here? Those are real sexy but really cost a bomb! rclxub.gif
Thinking to get some good 140mm fans. Wanna create a slightly positive airflow for my case. Currently, dusts are coming in from my unused 5.25″ drive bays. hmm.gif

Guys, can give me some recommendation for 120 mm case fans? Need intake fans really badly. Because my case original fans had the 3 pin connector with the 'lock' thingy on the side and can't fit to my motherboard 4 pin connector.

huh? the pins should fit, no matter if it's a 4-pin or a 3-pin header on the mobo, even a 4-pin PWM fan may be connected to a 3-pin header on a motherboard

anyway if you're still looking for fans, consider getting these. Depending on your budget, you may wanna skip a few.

-Xigmatek 120mm series
-BitFenix Spectre (Pro/non-pro) 120mm
-Artic F12 120mm
-Silverstone 120mm
-Antec truequiet 120mm
-Noctua NF-F12 120mm

Erm, there's something like a latch at the fan connector. This makes the connector wider and makes it unable to fit to the header. It's hard to explain. Hmm.. Anyways, thanks for the recommendations.

Not really, imagine that, and we have the things on the side that we press if we want to disconnect it from the motherboard.
I am a bit lazy to take a pic. Cause need to reopen the case tongue.gif

Hmm, no. That latch is on the top. My latch is on the side. If I attach it, it's gonna break the 4th pin on the mobo fan header.
I don't dare to take that risk. So my case doesn't have any airflow right now.
LOL

Anyway, if you want to use back the fans, you can just snip off the side latches with a side cutter... smile.gif
