QUOTE(kerelbort @ Feb 22 2013, 04:42 PM) still not getting ur car keeting? btw, since CRZ oso got facelift and now come with li-on battery... i guess new insight should be coming soon with li-on battery as well... hoping if that true, the battery can be retrofit to the current insight as well.. li-on should be cheaper to produce.. Doubt that because it was mentioned by Honda that the Pre-FL CR-Z cannot fitted with the Li-on battery of the FL CR-Z. So I guess its would be the same for the new insight as well This post has been edited by Area51SE: Feb 24 2013, 04:44 PM

I think it is high....My insurance is also going to due on April...let's see how much the sum insured would be quoted.. anyway, I just learnt from a friend of mine, telling that his client just sold off his 2011 insight a 2 weeks ago @RM65k only the resale value is really low ...

Yeap, unless there are still rides like Insight or Jazz that is still being sold using Nickel Battery after 10 more years. Not sure if the nickel battery in Jazz / Insight can fit into the CR-Z though. Worst to worst is purchase a battery on the 10th year before it stop production and keep it till the current battery fails haha

Old Insight user in US already replacing theirs. Search for insight central forum.

QUOTE(kampoon @ Feb 27 2013, 07:57 AM) if remove the battery will get back the good consumption ? Probably slightly better FC due to the reduced weight of removing the battery but you won't get the previous FC when the battery was working as now the whole car is totally dependant on the Engine itself to push it. Moreover it's just a 1.3 Engine and it needs to push a 1.2 tonne car. This post has been edited by Area51SE: Feb 27 2013, 11:20 AM

Just had my car serviced on last friday was supposed to go for 45k service...however, since my car has clocked 50k mileage, the service advisor has skipped the 45k and straight moved to do the serviced required for 50k...forgot to ask if warranty would be void under such circumstances..
what I really don't like about honda is that the flexibility on the mileage.....they should allow 7.5k/10k service interval for using semi/full synthethic engine oil.. at least this would save us the trouble and time so that we would not need to go back to the SC for car servicing every 1-2 months for heavy users...

hey all, need your advice. Honda has suggested that I do the 5k maintenance by this 28th Feb (yesterday) but I only clocked 4k mileage. Should I just schedule maintenance or wait till 5k? (there's a free 6 month service.....got the car in November 2012)

So 2nd service must be done BEFORE 5000km or LESS THAN 3 months. Some owners even had to pay for the supposedly free service because they exceeded the mileage (eg. 5500km for 5000km service) or time (3 weeks after 3 months) by a significant amount. So if we didn't follow the schedule we cannot blame Service Centres or Honda for not giving us the free service........... After the free service period I think we have more freedom to extend our own service intervals !!
