Actually we can easily stretch the service interval to 8K and no negative response from HM. I've been dragging my service interval to 8K since 20K mileage. No mention anything when i have any claims whatsover. The truth is i have just claim for rear absorber once. So far zero engine/transmission prob even thought i always shift to S with econ off when racing on highways.

Hi nice one there, so we can actually extend the service intervals ourselves to every 5 months or 7000-10000km (Fully Synthetic Oil) after free service without affecting the warranty? Is there any limit?? I can't really drive for 5000km in 3 months time. We should ask the service advisors first right? That will save some money and time :] cool2.gif.................

@twwong

Whether you put Full Syn or Semi Syn Engine Oil, still you have to service each 5K from Honda Service Center. This is the common practice from HM.

If you don't mind the warranty, then you can service your car at any K you wish to like.

The best ? Get the Honda Service adviser. Either you trust their advise or you trust the service book. If you have a nice Service Adviser, they will tell you what you need to be done. Please refer to one person if you feel comfortable. If you service next time and deal with another service adviser, they may give you different feedback.

@br3akerz

CVTF notification will appear on 38K KM.

i still service every 5k tho. just that the time that took me to reach 5k is very long since i did not use the car for half a year. I just kept quiet and the service advisor didnt say anything lol.

Anyone reached 100k mileage yet?
Just wondering whether the CVT has been improved.
Previous Honda City CVT was a nightmare for me and many other owners even though we serviced at Honda all the time.

Don't let SC to rip off your money. Go with the maintenance schedule per manufacturer book. When in dispute just drag them to the consumer tribunal. BTW, I am still covered under warranty and service every 6 months or 10K whichever comes first. Unless if I exceed 50% driving above 32Celcius or heavy traffic then I service every 5000K.
