me thinks it's flat out stupid... a tree branch flying into your spokes and then snagging your derailleur will cause you to throw your frame into the dumpster...

for the minor benefits a non-replaceable offers... not worth the risk..

over the years of riding.. it happened to me only once... and on a road bike somemore... had to swap hanger, RD and deal with a broken wheel because it snapped a pair of spokes on the way up...

don't underestimate tree branches...

looking for something that's
- classic looking. nothing fancy like lynskey
- sloping geometry
- replaceable hanger
- external headset
- normal bb
- race oriented
- titanium
- use seat collar (not like cinelli xcr)

if u find something like this, let me know please. thanks boss

guru praemio is one option. but the shop selling it here says, they don't do measurements for custom build. if want custom, the customer will have to give them the dimensions. what lah

A worn out tyres will give you less rolling resistance..so I guess using my gp4000s on a trainer will make it much faster on the road? tongue.gif

Any brand of road bike that suit my budget. RM1.5k~RM1.8k

Corruption is a good way of learning too i guess. And to motivate me to work harder.

Im in Sarawak btw. To get good type of 2 wheels is a dream here.

Only one official Polygon shop in MJC Kuching which is 9 hours drive from my place.

9 hours from Kuching. Seems like somewhere in bintulu? Im in Miri and there are a few nice shops here.

If u want some polygon in ur price range go to LeRun which in near Imperial Mall.
You can also find some exitway(There's other expensive bike here too) beside Dave's Deli near Imperial Mall too. The one beside Dave's Deli i'm not sure whats the name and it has another branch in Lutong but im not sure where. Never been there.

I bought my Merida at Hiap Ho near Boulevard shopping complex. Slightly over 2k. This shop is nice. Lots of awesome bike. Lower floor Malaysian bikes, upper flower international brands.

And there's a shop somewhere in Permyjaya that sells XDS which is cheap but im not sure about the quality. That shop also sell other brands like Trek etc.

For u to window shop all these shops i think u need at least 2 days. biggrin.gif

this two already the opposite... how to find lar li that... classic geometry must have no sloping top tube one...also no compact geometry... it's a man's bike...full sized..

what logic is that? it's like saying buy a new car tyre and doing burnouts until the tyre is flat so it saves fuel???

usually... people don't touch your balls (bearing) lar... so, it's an additional thing that they mostly don't do here... it looks like they are close to transferring frame with a service like that... with bike wash and polish as well.. haha

wonder what they meant with the cable and housing, expect you to buy new ones? it's hard to take out cables without fraying them...

that said, still a bit expensive for me...
