Either that is a naive and prejudicial remark, or you are just stating your personal preference.

The returns from a cash back card are not necessarily better than a reward points based card.

For the new reward plat card. If u are new to citibank apply now and spend rm500 u get 50% rebate + 20k reward point. Only applicable for this card. Also this card got no annual fees, only the category fees and the 50% coupon is cape at rm200 discount.

For existing principal holder apply and spend rm500 with reward plat card also get 20k reward point.

That's right. End of the day it's all about personal preference and what does one want in return from their loyalty/spendings with the bank.
So I disagree if anyone want to influence others that reward cards is better or the latter. Equally, the banks "designs" their product to a specific target group and this is one example of such - Rewards Centric and Cashback Centric.

Maybank 2 Card is better. No fee, 5x for everything. From what I see the only nice thing would be the Automatic Protection... but duno what is the T&C

What is side benefit to you though, maybe be the main factor for another person in selecting that particular card. smile.gif
