We will be discontinuing the following:
•0.5% CashBack on all retail transactions (Business Platinum & Business Gold)
•Free access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge (Business Platinum & Platinum)
•Complimentary Travel Accident Insurance (Business Platinum, Platinum, Titanium, Business Gold, Gold and Classic)
•Complimentary Home/Motoring Assistance (Gold & Classic)
•Complimentary Purchase Protection Plan (Business Platinum, Platinum, Titanium, Business Gold, Gold, Priority Banking Visa Infinite and Visa Infinite)

We will also be temporarily making unavailable 360° Reward Points on local and foreign currency spend for all Standard Chartered credit cards, meaning no points will be awarded for credit card spends until further notice.

SCB's announcement only mentioned that no cash back for Business Platinum & Business Gold. Cash back features of JustOne Titanium MasterCard (5% cash back on Fridays and 2% cash back on non-Fridays) was not highlighted in the announcement.

With respect to this, I was worried about the cash back from JustOne Titanium MasterCard. I sent an email to SCB and below is their reply:

"Regret to inform that the cash back features will be unavailable as of 2 January 2013 for all Standard Chartered credit cards. We will also be temporarily making unavailable 360° Reward Points on local and foreign currency spend for all Standard Chartered credit cards, meaning no points will be awarded for credit card spends until further notice."

This means ALL SCB cards including JustOne Titanium MasterCard are completely USELESS. I seriously think of cancelling the card before annual date coming May 2013.

Anybody can confirm JustOne cashback no longer available 2nd Jan onwards?

It's confirmed. Refer to my earlier post #388.

In addition, I tested a small transaction RM20 using JustOne Titanium 2 weeks ago. No cash back was given. It's confirmed.

So I will terminate this card prior to card anniversary date if SCB still discontinues its cash back feature.

as for me, will be cancelling the obsolete JustOne b4 the anni soon, scb has no intention to automatically replace that card to other cards huh  rolleyes.gif

No need to wait. I cancelled mine (JustOne Titanium + JustOne Current Account) in April this year. This card has been downgraded from the best card to the WORST card. No cash back and points at all. SCB has no intention to reinstate the benefits.

Now I am holding their VI only. It's FOC, of course.

Winner,

The re-instate is subject to bank policy. As per system, the point will be expired after 3 year except priority banking card. If the statement already shown the date of expire, then re-instate will not be given. It not matter whether any intention because any business is about profit, as term and condition fully given information where it will expired after 3 year and clearly stated the information. VI (Visa Infinite) is subject to term and condition and spending criteria, it not free except promo and request by standard chartered bank.

I guess you may have misunderstood the previous benefits of this card - JustOne Titanium MasterCard. It gave 5% cash back for retail transactions done on Fridays and 2% cash back for non-Fridays, subject to a maximum cash back of RM600 per year. No Choice Points were given for all transactions. Nevertheless, I was totally satisfied with this card for many years. Since this card does not give any benefit anymore, it is not a wise move for me to keep this card for another year.

SCB VI, on the other, is a package of SCB Priority Banking. As long as I maintain my deposit/investment above the threshold level set by the bank, the annual fee of my VI is waiveable, according to my Relationship Manager.

actually 0.5 Choice Points were given for all transactions but since SCB raised the redeemed rate 3 times, i think not much people will now apply for any SCB cards.

SCB had removed the point system for this card since January. To be exact, it used to be 1 Choice Point for every RM2 spent.

winner,

The bank relaunch the reward program with a program booster where can accelerated reward up to 5X for the first two month which is April and May 2013 for local spend. Local spend in that period will be given RM1 = 5 points excluded petrol transaction, insurance premium and bill payments.

After that period, it will be given RM1 = 1 reward points.

I was referring to JustOne Titanium. 1 Choice Point for RM2 spent.
