I remember i read the prices for original moutings + labour charges but i cant find them now.

there was a guy here who changed his engine mounting too....

can some friends here please let me know the price for original engine mountings + labour cost?

Thanks alot.

Hi kelisa bros,

If I can remember, I did it at Pero2 authorised service center,
about 5 years ago for about less than RM600, inclusive parts & labour.

But only 2 mountings were changed instead of the 3 pcs, because the service centre
said no need waste time to lift up the engine completely to change 3 pcs mounting,
as it takes 1 whole day, waste their time and can't earn much as labour prices are fixed.

Take note of the above exception, bros!

If change 2 pcs mounting, just jack up the engine a bit, very fast, as they told me.
I went along with their idea, as I was in a hurry too.

Until today, looking back, I am not sure change 2 or 3 is better.
If they lift up the whole engine, may cause even more problems to other areas?
Better just jack up abit, less collateral damages?

Good luck bros, and is it really necessary to change engine mounting, I did asked myself once?

Hi there. thanks for your reply.
yes, i think i need a change as the engine is vibrating clearly when i look at it . the hose is also vibrating. my foreman checked and said 1 of the mounting swallen already. he is my reliable friend too. he advised me, if necessary (need further checking) it is better to unload the engine from the bottom, just need to disconnect the electrical wirings. i like this because it is the best time to ask him to fix up any other loose parts in the engine bay +sound proof (i passed my Insuflix sound proof matt) for the new front bumper and the side fenders + degreasing any greasy parts. it is easier to do it when the engine is taken off.

actually, i am thinking of top 1/2 overhaul since the engine is to be taken off. ANY FRIENDS KNOW THE PRICE FOR TOP OVERHAUL ?

Thanks.

Similar to bro smokeman, I also didn't change all 3 pieces. Mind to share your mounting condition after this 5 years?

But I am more cost-conservative than u bro mikehwy, I only changed one piece, after asking around here, workshops and service centres. And the problem solved.

Bro, u r more fortunate because regarding mounting issue, my mechanic didn't check for me which exact piece giving the problem. Just ask me to change all. I had to analyse which part, and request them to change for me.

Hi, after 5 years, recently there was a slight vibration when in reverse gear,
but still OK as it is not disturbingly noticeable.

The 2 pcs mounting I changed at Pero2 years ago were original parts.
I heard of people using cheaper equivalent parts but lasted only 2-3 years.

If you are thinking of keeping your Kelisa for more than 3 years,
then go for 3pcs original parts esp mountings which have little compromise.

At today's prices, with labour, might set you back by about RM800.

If not keeping Kelisa for longer term, than just change 1 or 2 mountings will do;
can even use the non-original equivalent parts.
(i don't know the brand, but someone had written about it in this forum)

Well try to ask Shofi Auto Garage : 017 621 7120..Batu Tiga Shaha Alam..tell him Atok Antzan recommend ...a well known mech among Kcar..a honest person...he can help u all..mine is Kelisa limited with upgrade K3ve2 engine...hehehe...

engine mounting..absorber...overhaul...try to make booking earlier as usually fully book with Kcar..

I think I ned to change also my Absorber mounting to the Alza abs mounting as kong2 sound as per his checking..plus brake pad..already done the front engine mounting with him.. Made in Japan..there 2 type..OEM and Ori for the engine mounting..better .take the ORI as last longer...only jack up engine during installation.

u all also can chk him in FB and in mudah.com...hope these will help u all...smile.gif
