i'm considering to buy a 2nd hand Kelisa. Survey from mudah & carlist. Any suggestion for a dealer? How much budget I should have?

  I got a Kelisa 1.0 manual. From Kelisa's service manual, it stated that manual transmission fluid (gearbox oil) need to change every 20K. While auto transmission fluid is every 40K.

I thought manual transmission fluid should last longer than auto, but for Kelisa, it seems to be the opposite. Is it true? Or the manual was printed wrongly, where manual is 40K while auto is 20K?

After so many years.. The price still wont drop...

Hey guys, for those who want to change their engine mounting..
Spareparts:
Original mounting costs RM535 / set
Schmaco mounting costs RM200 / set

Schmaco is a good quality locally manufactured brand, and comes with one year warranty.
I got my set of Schmaco at PH Auto @ Sea Park, PJ.
The owner suggested not to go for even cheaper ones, as they're akin to being useless.

Installation:
I'm now in search of a good workshop with cheap price to install the mounting.
Any suggestions? Klang Valley, preferably Damansara/PJ/Wangsa Maju/Melawati areas.

What is the reading you getting? Should be around 90km/h

Super expensive? U should asked me what is the price when i asked few other workshop. Look here and there, ok RM1.3k. Dafuq.
All lamps are as whole casing, not just the bulb.

I install a set of Schmaco mounting last month, it was the second set as my car is 10 this year, first change was in 2010.

Boughy the mounting for 195 at PH Auto and labour is 150 at my regular workshop.

Btw i am using a Kenari manual, different car but the engine and geabox is same.

Hi...i only suggest that you go to Perodua workshop...

Just to share my horror story - I didn't know which workshop swap my engine support beam with a stainless steel pipe.

Engine oil was leaking badly because the oil seal or timing belt set not installed properly...engine oil stained the whole other belts and etc...

Trust the Perodua workshop...but parts very pricey...go out get OEM parts like APM absorber or Kayaba (fron 2 only RM145/piece) Perodua quoted me RM 500.

Let Perodua install, I regreted letting outstide shop install because P2 very bz...foreign labour...you know la...workmanship..

hmmm... but my previous cable doesnt give this squeaking sound... only after i changed this new cable... it was very nice to drive for the first 15 mins when driving. but it gets harder and harder after that.

i called exedy distributor.. they ask me to get the cable replace again as kelisa is old car, and manual kelisa is not that many, they could have given me an old cable that was already left there for years..

many possibilities. headache now..

i stopped by a mechanic outside nearby my office.

he asked me to change new clutch cable. and i told him i just changed. so he used wd40 to spray on the edge of the cable(interior and exterior)

and later he press the clutch again. and told me that it could be the bearing in the clutch system that had already wear out, need to replace clutch plate etc.

i told him that i just replaced 2 years ago. he said kl traffic stop and go will cause this to wear out very fast.

2 days ago as i was driving around lebuh raya bukit jalil around 2 am, the rain was very heavy and flooded. my car had exposed to a lot of water until i can see my engine temperature very low.. my clutch become super easy and nice to press.. just like brand new clutch again.

i still have no idea to whats wrong with the clutch .. all i know is when hot hard to press, when cold its ok...

if i found anything i would post here and let everyone know.

i am very dissapointed and sad. i believe it is the poor workmanship in perodua i fixed my clutch 2 years ago.

well.. my previous clutch set was running around 9 years i believe(second hand car). the reason i wanted to change is that the clutch gets hard to push so i figured that the clutch might worn out (it was running around 187554KM on odo)

i thought it could last me another 5-10 years...

damn.. u are so lucky to own one that is running fine.. envy.

drove my car to airport today, that 45 minutes ride still put smiles on my face, even with hard clutch.



we're lucky we owned kelisa as the resale value is still quite high.

Just share my experience..  I just tried Liqui moly products to flush my engine and it really worked lolx. overhaul is pricey .. huh

Today when I drove my car it felt a little weird. It feels like the power is inconsistent or something when I start moving from a full stop. Like the car is jerky and the acceleration will be fast then slow then fast then slow then after it changes to 2nd gear it still has a bit of the stuttering then once gear 3 it becomes smooth. Driving a 2003 Auto kelisa.

so we can only change the piece that gives problem? great, i will ask my foreman friend to check first and see howof each piece. i am not planning to spend that much too ....lol.
