that could be the throwout bearing. thats why have to bring down the whole engine to get access. if this bearing is good with good grease, u can press the clutch easily and smoothly.

Hi ledtechn,
hmmm... but my previous cable doesnt give this squeaking sound... only after i changed this new cable... it was very nice to drive for the first 15 mins when driving. but it gets harder and harder after that.

i called exedy distributor.. they ask me to get the cable replace again as kelisa is old car, and manual kelisa is not that many, they could have given me an old cable that was already left there for years..

many possibilities. headache now..

Hi, how about asking the mechanics outside? Those that has similar cars experience or those u can trust. I dunno how to solve your problem, sorry, but just to suggest that it might be just a small problem/easy to solve, than to bring down the engine and cost a bomb.

i stopped by a mechanic outside nearby my office.

he asked me to change new clutch cable. and i told him i just changed. so he used wd40 to spray on the edge of the cable(interior and exterior)

and later he press the clutch again. and told me that it could be the bearing in the clutch system that had already wear out, need to replace clutch plate etc.

i told him that i just replaced 2 years ago. he said kl traffic stop and go will cause this to wear out very fast.

2 days ago as i was driving around lebuh raya bukit jalil around 2 am, the rain was very heavy and flooded. my car had exposed to a lot of water until i can see my engine temperature very low.. my clutch become super easy and nice to press.. just like brand new clutch again.

i still have no idea to whats wrong with the clutch .. all i know is when hot hard to press, when cold its ok...

if i found anything i would post here and let everyone know.

i am very dissapointed and sad. i believe it is the poor workmanship in perodua i fixed my clutch 2 years ago.

well.. my previous clutch set was running around 9 years i believe(second hand car). the reason i wanted to change is that the clutch gets hard to push so i figured that the clutch might worn out (it was running around 187554KM on odo)

i thought it could last me another 5-10 years... sad.gif

Sad to hear that sc did not provide the best workmanship..
My mileage is 205000km. Since dun want to be tied down to another instalment yet, I will continue using my kelisa too. Just wonder how the car can be insured few years later after 15 years age.

Hi Guys,

Wanted to get some info from Kenari/Kelisa owner as technically both car are identical (different only on size & design).

I am 2008 Auto Kenari owner. My car already clock almost 200k mileage. No major problem so far but I can feel that performance/handling significantly drop maybe due to high mileage.

So my question is what recommended service/part, I should consider to improve car performance?

My Planing
1. Engine overhaul (Pls advise cost)
2. Change timing, aircond & alternator (100k)

Please advise other thing I should consider to service or change part?

Thanks in advance.

I using liqui moly products lol.

Btw, Do note use it at your own risk lolx... nod.gif

Refer to steps below for those who never flush engine before (Tried on my engine with 80km mileage))

First Flush >> LM5200 Rm72+-
Pour it into your engine and run 200km then only change your engine oil .

Second Flush >> LM2427 RM55+-
Pour it into your engine and let your engine run for 10-12 minutes then must change your engine oil immediately. So, this step must do at workshop.

Third step (optional )
Apply Coating on your piston >>> LM3721 RM120+-
Add in with your new engine oil ,
I just applied yesterday and will give review if worked !!! laugh.gif

I going flush my gear box and add some additive. If anyone at penang , I willing have car test and sembang sembang togther lolx.. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

hi ...

checked a few road side mechanics. they all assume it is the clutch bearing wear out.

meaning need to replace the clutch set probably... gonna cost another RM800-1000 (rm280 red exedy clutch OEM, perodua labor rm250, some original perodua original seals, perodua gear oil etc. all price as per 2013 excluding gst and yet to known parts to be replaced).

and if i got it fixed, i still unsure if it is going to last me another 2 years or not.

a mechanic say i'm just being bad luck, probably the previous mechanic did not installed properly.

now im trading it off for axia.. was a hard and very painful decision. i really love my kelisa

Juz wondering...after full OH on engine, does the sound of the engine becomes very deep and kind of coarse once a while? I juz did OH last week and just achieved 1,000km and need to check with mechanic for any leakages or any problem(they request to check). So yeah...is the sound common?

Today when I drove my car it felt a little weird. It feels like the power is inconsistent or something when I start moving from a full stop. Like the car is jerky and the acceleration will be fast then slow then fast then slow then after it changes to 2nd gear it still has a bit of the stuttering then once gear 3 it becomes smooth. Driving a 2003 Auto kelisa.
